Amazing results, yet again. Probably the best results so far.

Ferrari's 458 Italia not only eclipses the performance of every challenger save the Bugatti Veyron, it lifts the normally-aspirated bar to heights that will probably never be topped.
Apparently, Automobile mag doesn´t use 1-foot rollout (which leads to acceleration results lower by 0,3s) as opposed to other american mags (MT,CaD,RaT). So we are looking at 0-100km/h in 3,2s and 0-200km/h in 9,5s. Crazy. :t-crazy2:

Their results with other cars seem to be OK though. Their 0-300km/h time would be comfortably under 30s, since they did 0-290km/h in 23,3s.

Ferrari 458 Italia - First Test - Automobile Magazine

Automobile mag 0-120mph (0-194km/h) results for comparison :

8,9s - Ferrari 458 Italia
10,6s - Mercedes SLS AMG
11,2s - Lexus LFA
12,1s - Audi R8 V10

0-200km/h estimates :

Ferrari 458 Italia - 9,4-9,5s
Mercedes SLS AMG - 11,2s
Lexus LFA - 11,8s
Audi R8 V10 - 12,7-12,8s

Results of SLS, LFA, R8 in line with german AMS. A bit strange, that in german AMS/SA the SLS is within a second of 458 Italia, while in Italian Quattroruote, but also British EVO and US Automobile mag the difference is close to 2s.

They have added a new set of pictures, proving Automobile mag used the very same car as QR,AMS,SA and EVO.

Ferrari 458 Italia Rear Photo 10

Results in 0-200km/h are quite strange :

9,5s - Automobile mag - USA
9,7s - Quattroruote - Italy
10,0s - EVO - UK
10,4s - AMS - Germany
10,6s - Sport Auto - Germany

Either german mags use 200kg passenger, or the others have mounted a pair of turbos for their test. :eusa_thin :D
