Vs Autocar: S5 vs. 335i

Well, i've driven all of those cars you mention Poverty, Ibiza, Polo and BMW, and i speak about something that i know, so i hope i have some credibility; what you just said is a complete nonsense! Heavier and higher quality the doors of Polo?

Please dude, gimme a break! You have no clue what you're talking about and that rather seems like bashing and clueless talk from you! Despite the fact you actually own Seat Ibiza!

:t-cheers:

Hey,what is going on here? What the f**k VW,Polo and Seat Ibiza in this topic:t-crazy2: ?Stay on topic,please..

Anyway two nice cars inside and out, which one you'd purchase probably comes down to brand preference.

Let me tell you what i'd like: A E92 with S5's interior!

:t-cheers:

That would be nice, but yesterday I made it appoint to strike up a conversation with a 335i owner at the gas station. It was beige with tan leather, the first one I seen in that color combo, I must admit the interior looked like a heavenly place for a long journey! He said he just came back from Ohio with his friend, I asked him how was the ride (knowing from experience a trip to Ohio from NJ is no less then 9 hours) he told me he thought about taking his Range Rover sport, but he only had his 335i for a few months and never gotten a chance to open her up and didn't see a better oppertunity to do so. I asked him did he regret his decision to drive 335i, he said his only regret was
buying the RR Sport, it he new the 335i was so comfortable he would of saved the cash!:)

BMW doors are light. There is no denying that, or are you going to try and tell me that the feel and quality of the entire BMW door is at the same high level of quality to that of an audi?

What polo and ibiza have you driven and where?

Poverty, who and where mentioned Audi here? Mind telling me that? It's you who compares Ibiza's and Polo's quality to the one found in BMW! :t-crazy2::t-crazy2::t-crazy2: Again, to me that's just bashing and nonsense crap you're talking!

The doors are light and that's a problem for you??? The doors should be light and easy to close and not to weigh like some vault doors or such!

What polo and ibiza have you driven and where?

Polo 1.4, 1.9 TDi - in Croatia, cca year and a half ago.
Ibiza 1.4 TDi - in Croatia, cca 2 years ago and i can drive it whenever i want since it's my friends car.

Does that make any difference? For sure not, so i please you to stop talking nonsense crap here, ok?

:t-cheers:

Well, you can always put some heavy speakers in door panels and all your problems with light doors are solved..I think(I just can´t belive I just wrote this crap..really:confused: )

Well see you have now just proven to contradict yourself there. Are you saying that the VW polo is not a quality manufactured vehicle and that comparing it to a BMW is therefore bashing BMW?:t-crazy2:

So as you have just said yes the doors on the BMW are light, whilst on the VW's and audi's they are heavier. Finally the truth has come out.

The day I noticed that BMW doors were rather light was a relevation to me. I had spent the whole day at different premium manufacturers dealerships and when I felt the door of the BMW I thought this to myself "No wonder BMW cars are so much lighter than audi's and MB's". I thought it a bit odd at first but then after some deliberation I came to a conclusion that it must be because it fitted BMW's sporty direction.

Contradict myself? What the ... are you talking about?? You don't get it, do you? :jpshakehe

I'll try to be as simple as i can, you've said this:

The door on a VW polo is heavier/ has a higher quality feel and closing noise than a beemer. Infact a beemer reminds me of my Ibiza door.

And to that i say: You have no damn clue what are you talking about and that's biggest crap i've heard in a long time! Do you get it now?

Compared to BMW, the build quality of Polo comes nowhere near (politely said). When you mention Audi, i think you should know that i personally think they have overall the best interiors in business and highest quality of it, get it? But we don't talk here about Audi, 'cause in your post on which i've reacted you mention Polo, not Audi! Are you aware of that??

Oh and just to let you know in case you didn't know, i own a BMW 535d and a VW Golf V, so be sure i know damn well what i'm talking about and i probably have much more expirience concerning VW vs. BMW quality than you!

The difference here is that i own and drive those cars and i know well what i'm talking about, while you don't! Simple as that.

I don't like to talk this way, but you've forced me.

Oh my God..some ppl will never learn:cool: ..C´mon,f**k the door weight debate allready,it´s borring..Poverty,don´t make statements like that(you are entiteld to opinion, but don´t put salt over everybodys brains about it)..All reasonably smart ppl know that door weight has nothing to do with overall car quality. There is no need to argue over such trivial thing as door weight..Try to make consturctive posts..not this...This little interevntion is not pointet to you as a person or a collegue forumer,be assured on that accaunt..And,BTW,this is S5 vs. 335i thread, for Gods sake:cool: .

Ok let me be frank with you BMW guys. The E90 poverty spec beemer I sat in interior wise was pretty dismall. I was shocked at the quality it looked and felt rubbish. The interior and materials on this specific car was a let down. I then got into a M5 and yet again the interior for a £60 grand car was not up to the job. The Mercs and specifically audis that I sat in prior to that made the BMW look rather not very premium.

Alot of people have said that the quality in the E90 is not up to the same spec of the E46 and they speak the truth. Open and close the door and the E90 does not make that german like clunk, but instead the door feels very light and hollow like. Mercedes and Audi doors dont sound that way, they sound more solid, and that includes my friends 2006 polo.

And even though my car is meant to be pretty much identical to that of my friends polo, and both being 2006 models his door feels alot more solid than my car and makesa much nicer sound when closing. Mine being a lighter car reminds me very much so to that of the BMW.

Say what you wish BMW boys but you cannot deny that fact. I bet if you got a newton measurement tool and attached it to the door of a BMW it would require less force to open the door than to that of one of the new polos.

VW advertised the new polo as being a very solid car and it is true.

P.S

you are comparing a golf V vs a 5 series. I am comparing a polo to a 3 series. The Golf 5 is slated for being of lesser quality to its earlier Gen 5 counterpart, a bit like the E90 is to the E46 :D

I'll just agree that the quality in E90 isn't top notch and it could be much better, i'm hoping for that with facelift. But you still didn't justify your nonsense claim about Polo's quality being better than the one in BMW and i see you don't plan to, so that statement of yours remains nonsense crap. Accept it.

This thread has suffered enough and i apologize to all.

Stay on topic, Poverty, please.

Thank you.
