Vs Autocar GTR vs 997 mk2 GT3 vs R8 V10 vs V12 Vantage vs Clio Sport 200

That goes without saying, but a V12 Aston Martin which wasn't built for track, posting only 2 secs slower time than GT-R is really something, i applaude them for that.:eusa_clap

Gt-R is an amazing machine! Imo, Japan's best performance car yet! Probably my car in next 3 years! :t-drive:

The GTR is very fast! I would never buy one but it is still an amazing car...

^ lol Dr why is that ? I almost bought one but backed a bit .. let's just say that the dealer is not worth handling such excellent car ..

What is the Renault Clio Sport doing here?

I would think that car wouldn't stand a chance against these guys from the very beginning. It's true I guess: the British do hate the French, even in this day and age. :D

The only real reason is that it is quite far from what I seek in a car. Great car, objectively, but it does nothing for me subjectively...

I would argue that the GTR is less build for th track (despite the amazing numbers) than the rest. It has every possible comfort (for a sports car) as standard and is actually 2+2 with usable rear seats for short rides and is in fact the heaviest of the lot.

but comfort havent been exactly the best part with the GTR. I have read negative opinions about the GTR in this area. For instance 911 TT have recieved better praise for comfort ( like that is something to be proud about, duh Porsche). Next 911 cant come soon enough cause now it aint doing well.

The 997 Turbo is about comfort, it has left the drivers part of the performance heritage with the GT3 and moved along. The brand, "911 Turbo" became to profitable to keep on making it a pure drivers car.

With Porsche today, you have to make a choice.

The purpose of the test was to find the best-handling car available in Britain. (The Evora won the title this year, despite being slower than many other cars on test.) Renault hot hatches tend to do very well in such comparos. Here is the underdog Clio getting up the superhatch Focus RS's tailpipe:
