I think they are absolutely spot on about the C63 AMG. It's probably doesn't handle as well as the M3 and the RS5, it's the one that guzzles more petrol and yet it's the one that makes you feel happier.

That must be a terrible joke.

The M3 and RS5 sound infinitely superior to the C63 much like sports cars with very fast pistons eager to rev and sonorous like opera music as much as formula race cars.

The C63 sounds plain atrocious and painful with those raspy loud lazy farts and bassy grumbling burbling. It always reminds me of someone suffering from bad diarrhea. Downright horrible.

I meant the way it sounds. It sounds so much better than the other two cars. And the M3 is barely more economical than the C63.

Average MPG:

-M3 Coupé: 22.8
-C63 AMG Touring: 20.8

Nope. That's just my opinion, no need to be rude.

^ Personal choice, the above comment and I'm not entirely sure everyone would agree with it. I for one think the AMG has one of the sexiest exhaust notes on the planet.

Given the choice I would have the engine from the C63, the controls and feel of the M3 and the awd system and looks of the RS5.

If you don't like the way the M156 sounds then you simply are not an auto enthusiast or hate the brand...

...'cause you can reach 1/4 miles faster than with M3 or RS5...

Yeah, sure...

:t-cheers:

Add to what u mentioned sound, smoke, drifting and all the drama u can get?..;)

Anyway of course C63 for..sedan form that is.:usa7uh::D

I am an auto enthusiast and yes I know decent amount about cars. It is just that when it comes to race car-like sound, M3 and RS5 are far closer to track oriented sports cars.

The C63 is much more on the American truck or big-displacement, low piston speed high torque muscle car sound side, which is not my cup of tea. I guess, it is a personal choice.

That was why I said it was 'personal choice' towards your comments. Each to their own, I am love race breed engines but I personally prefer them in a true exotic and not a family type car which these lot are.

When a car is design to cover all bases but primarily is destined to spend 90% of it's time on public roads and half of that working the lower part of the rev range then Mercedes chose the right type of engine out of these three.

Unlike many others I have had the pleasure to drive all three. I know which one I would pick..

I guess, it is all going away altogether since all manufacturers seem to be switching to low-revving turbocharged engines so all of the cars will be sounding more or less the same. Much like a vaccum cleaner. LOL.

Like you I've driven them all but unlike you I didn't find one that had the perfect package. The C63 has in my opinion the most excessible performance but to most demanding handling characteristics, the M3 has the sweetest controls and balance but it's engine needs to be worked hellish hard to get the full pleasure and then there's the RS5 which has the kind of traction to be able to use all that power and torque of the might 6.3 amg without any worries and the calm confidence from it's chassis and awd system that can make use of all this power regardless of the conditions.

Yeah, the drama, that's the key word...;)

Who would have thought? :D

Some member here had a great signature back then and it was something like The road is much longer than 1/4 miles and fun begins after 60mph you know...;)

Same goes for you, my friend...;)

:t-cheers:

Didn't understand a word of it other than the two seemed to be very close overall based of the final scoring but thanks for posting.

Doesnt look like a M3 with competition package from the italian test. And a 4-door M3, what happen to the Coupé?
