lol you can say the same about 130i, more or less sportscars ahead :D

I have to agree with BMWFREAK, this is an unsusal comparo.
I also agree with The Artist about the SLK55. It did well but could have been
ahead in some catagories considering.

so you dont agree with me about BMW 130i? :D

Watch the conclusion, ranked after SLK55. 130i did well despite not being a M.
Although, I wished they had either the Z4M Roadster/Coupe in this test instead.

This was my favorite. I was hoping for this car to win :D

From that list, give me:

1) MB SLK
2) Daihatsu Copen
3) Porsche Cayman S

:t-cheers:

Yeah, I was surprised the Copen didn't come dead last! It actually managed to avoid embarrassing itself completely, beating a few respectable cars in the slalom.. or is it that those cars did particularly bad?

I guess it's mustn't be as bad as the looks suggest. Maybe its light weight does a lot for it in some regards.

I love the Daihatsu Copen. Such a cute little car. Just by looking at it, you can tell it is heaps of fun. It doesn't need a powerful engine to be fun. I am sure the little turbo 3-cylinder has a wonderful personality which adds to the driving pleasure.

Best of all, the Copen is now available in LHD!

Don't know how I missed this one, but yes this is an odd, but sort of charming test. The smaller cars are adorable.

some of the images arent working :t-banghea

Could you be able to fix them please? :t-hands:

Seem to work fine for me!

I agree a wierd test, with cars in completely different classes!

Astounded by just how bad the Caterham rated in the 'wet handling course'. Worse than a Copen! Shameful.

BTW, did the Cayman S have PCCB (Porsche Carbon Ceramic Brakes)? If it did, that might explain it's domination in the braking test. Which is testament to just how good they actually are.

If only it was a cheaper option...

Does weight have a positive effect on handling? It might sound a little counter-intuitive, but weight=friction=traction, sort of. So when the surface gets slippery, a heavier car might grip better.

at least on dry roads, low weights is an advantage

Yeah, I know - but I was thinking to when you're on icy or snowy ground, and you have no weight over a wheel - then it gets slippery.

Would that idea transfer to wet ground?
