My god that steering wheel has to be the ugliest I've ever seen in a modern day car!

Agreed. I'm really trying to like the interior but it's hard. I hope it matched the exterior in looks...

Oh....and thanks TycoonGTR :usa7uh: for letting me know about his existing thread....I thought I was the first to come across the comparison but I'm 4 pages of comments too late!!!! :D :D

:t-cheers:

NP, man, that's why we have moderators here.:usa7uh:

The new C is really nice,it looks more upper class than the other two.

Sure the C looks nice... But I think that AMG trim isn't gonna be cheap. :eusa_thin

BTW, the Avantgarde trim and AMG trim are two separate things, right? So the white C we see in this test has both?

As far as I know its free of charge for avantgarde and its just the looks being changed, not to a sportier suspension. Correct me if Im wrong.

The Benz steering wheel looks like it came out of a Ford Transit or something, it is way too skinny!! Imho, I think MB has been coming out with the ugliest steering wheels lately.

However, that C class looks amazing in white. Finally warming up to the big star on the grill. Good job MB.

The AMG Package is a chargeable extra which may be ordered in addition to the Avantgarde Line.

However, in the UK we will have the " Sport Line " instead of the Avantgarde.
This is a combination of the Avantgarde and AMG Sports Package.

According to MB the 'AMG Sport Paket' includes the following:

AMG body styling with front and rear fascia, side skirts
17" AMG-style cast aluminum wheels with six twin-spoke design
225/45 ZR17 front, 245/40 ZR17 rear performance tires
perforated front brake discs with aluminum calipers and Mercedes-Benz lettering
13.5:1 ratio speed-sensitive sport steering
sports suspension lowered 15 mm with shorter springs, stiffer shocks, thicker stabilizer bars
sport exhaust note
sport seats with cloth/ARTICO leatherette upholstery
3-spoke sport steering wheel with shift paddles
aluminum-look shift lever with leather boot
sports pedal cluster of brushed stainless steel with black rubber studs
black roof liner
floor mats with AMG lettering

Thanks WyoM3,

I was feeling too lazy to list the whole spec. - Sports exhaust note for petrol engines only.

Welcome aboard GCF.

so the AMG kit do include sportier suspension :eusa_thin
Apparently so. It also appears from the German MB site that the 'Advanced Agility Package' and the 'AMG Package' can be ordered together, with a reduced price for the combination as compared to the individual option cost.

noticed how MB almost ALWAYS show the C-class with the AMG package? some doubts about the looks without?

Too bad they didnt bring out the 335i to play-which gets better mileage than the C350 yet is still going to be less money....

Of course then it would be like having a professional badminton team go head to head with the New England patriots in an arm wrestling tournament.

oh and btw the 3 series has the best interior out of these 3.

WHOA..i just realised there where more pics..and my god..does it out class the competition when it comes to looks.... wow..

Oh hell yes!! I find the new C-Class much more attractive and a bit more upscale looking than the competition by a long shot. The style of this car will fit in the most luxurious of settings it`s buyers will indeed enjoy! a handed gift from it father, the mighty S-Class:eusa_clap

In the mean time I can`t wait to see the C63!!

yeah im sure they hate their own car without amg package..lol
we all here know that all companys specc the cars to max at launch as it gathers more attention

I'm sorry, but BMW or Audi have no problem showing their car without an M-package or S-line. Almost every picture in the media, every test, every compairison has the C-class with the AMG-package and apparantly stiffer suspension against non sport-package Audi's or BMW's.

Just makes you wonder.

well wonder on man.. if audi and BMW dont present their best modell
it makes me wonder if they are stupid or not:D

so you can flip the coin to either side..

either MB is afraid of how their own product looks in normal mode
or they are just presenting the best to catch most attention.. and BMW and audi are being stupid not to do the same..

PS
Maybe we can agree that the sports packages for the other 2 cars doesent have the same visual impact ( loook as good ) as the AMG pacakage??

I like the M package (although I prefer the M-package for the Coupe over the Sedan). So. No we cant agree.

ohh and i know why you see alot of these AMG specced C classes ..
thats cause MB is marketing this car as sporty.. thats why they show the most sporty modell
if you take the CL or S class for example..wich looks very much better with AMG packages, MB still didnt put as much weight on the AMG package there as in the C..
so its not about them being ashamed of their product..
its more marketing and product placement..

Get my point?
