Yep, you read correct, BMW beat the others in the head categories but lose bigtime in cost department, therefore only a third place for 335i. EOS in first place because of better costs and cheaper ownership. Audi on second place and Volvo on last place.

I hate the cost part, that's where a lot of cars seem to fail.

Of course when you compare a VW to a BMW, the BMW is going to look expensive!

Well at least the BMW won where it counted, but they could have chosen a smaller engine and it still would have been faster than the other cars!

btw, by 'body' points does that refer to exterior styling?

Not bad i guess, but the BMW just outclasses all the rivals in the performance category

I saw a very nice black Eos at my local dealer the other day and it looked great. Perhaps the most beautiful VW model right now.:usa7uh:

and still not as pretty as the beemer. Who gives a shit about the costs, it's the best car out there :D

If you don't give a shit about the cost, just mortgage your house, sell your children, your wife, one of you kidneys and get yourself the BMW M6 Cabriolet. ;)

or why don't people go shoot themselves, sorry for being harsh but I had to kill this conversation.

I don't care what they found concerning cost, the BMW is by far the best convertible here and you get what you pay for! The others aren't even remotely in the BMW's league!

Ohhhh... I love the 335 Cab to death but I have to admit, it's not the most sound decision when it comes to tending to your wallet. It's awesome, but it's an indulgence.

I was so smitten with the cab this past weekend I'm now hatching plans to get one pre-owned a few years from now. Of course, by that time I'll have the new Z4 to drool over, right? Oh the humanity!

True, in 335i form, but why didn't they compare a lower-end verison since it was being compared to a "VW" and a "Volvo". Surely a 328i or whatever else they have in Europe would have sufficed. Of course the 335i is going to cost more, it blows the others out of the water.

Why are they comparing a 335i to these cars? How about a 325i? That would have been a little more fairer from a performance and price POV. :eusa_thin

As it is, the 335i easily kills the others in peformance, but naturally looses out in costs. Still, it would be my choice from this bunch.

Right, I mean why not include a CLK550 too!

M

BMW, hands down. No surprice that it scored the best in all parts apart from costs, so a typical BMW :D

PS. If there were only the VW and Volvo, i would pic a C70 anyday!

Congrats for the VW. I honestly do think the 3er and the EOS are the prettiest of the lot.
