Well I sure don't like the RS6 much, so I don't want to associate it with the term bahnstormer (as you so politely and humourously corrected me).
Maybe I need to find another mispelt term... ..anyhoot, you get my drift. If the X5M is one heck of a heavy car, then the M5 will be awesome to say the least.

What is interesting for me here is that Porsche is always famous for it's excellent traction and starting off the line acceleration but despite this, X5M is 0.3s faster from 0-40km/h.
Off the line acceleration mostly depends on high low end torque and good traction and X5M has lower torque too.
Of course, the Cayenne Turbo S is so heavy and that could be one of the reasons why it is slower.

Cars with all these power and so quick around the corners rarely offer good comfort. However X5M offer better comfort than Cayenne. Very pleasent seat comfort and back seat is also more comfortable than Cayenne. Unfortunaly the seven-seater option for normal X5 isnt available for the M version.

X5M have a higher slalom speed than the Porsche but the Cayenne is slightly faster around the track thanks to more sensitive responding steering and the carbon ceramic brakes. However the X5M is more safe to drive around the track, even with DSC turned off the car is easier to control. Cayenne exaggerates its movements and reacts more violently.
Conclusion
The fact that X5M wins this comparison is surprising. It convinces with better space offer, more pleasent comfort and lower basic price. The strenghts for the Porsche is the V8 engine, steering and ceramic carbon brakes.
