Roger Beasley opens World of Audi

Roger Beasley opened its new Audi dealership, called the World of Audi, at 12971 Pond Springs Road in Northwest Austin.

World of Audi dealerships are an initiative launched by Audi of America Inc. and its dealers to create modern, distinct Audi-branded locations.

The new dealerships, which Audi is touting as "inviting, European, functional and unique," feature an open retail environment with natural lighting, new design elements, accessories and decor that mirror the personality of Audi cars.

The exterior design of the new Audi dealership spotlights a metallic silver pylon with the signature Audi rings, flanked by banners in Audi red, gray, black and white. It is anchored by an arcing roof set atop glass panes.

Display pads at the building corners and at strategic locations throughout the lot provide focal points for select vehicles, according to Audi. And pylonlike signs direct traffic flow, while customized banners lend pageantry to the customer entrance.

Within the Audi showroom, circular vehicle displays and curved walls enhance a sense of movement, according to Audi. Semi-private areas serve as buyer consultation offices, and new owners can drive off the showroom floor through a vehicle delivery area.

Also inside the new dealerships are leather seating in the customer lounge and a Quattro Cafe. An Audi boutique offers a variety of Audi products, such as clothing and items for vehicles.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
