Audi will have two World Premiers at Geneva.

The fuss is all about the A5, so I don't think they would release a bran new model the same time as the A5.
I place my bet on A3 Cabrio, Q5 or TT-S.

:eusa_thin

A3 Cabrio & Q5 are brand new models. :D;)

But I agree no way Audi will debut two brand new models.

So ... RS6, TT S, R8 V10, Q7 V12 TDI ...

Scott, I don't think they would call a concept car a "world premiere". :t-hands:

So ... RS6, TT S, R8 V10, Q7 V12 TDI ...

Out of these, the TT S is the most believable.

RS6 - Not to much fuss about it yet
R8 V10 - To early
Q7 V12 TDI - Concept just shown

TT S - Spy pics, new info etc etc

Audi will show the new A4, the A3 Cabrio and the TT 3.6 Quattro during the IAA Frankfurt, Leave us with RS6 and Q5.
The RS6 is not a world dubut in my eyes but just a engine upgrade.
I think we will see a Q5, because the Q5 will also A4 B8 based.
Also a Audi RS4+ (lightweight) is only a upgrade not a world debut.

Hans.

If Q5 ...

Where did Audi test it? On the Moon? :D Or even Mars? ;)

I'm 200% sure they will test Q5 prototypes on The Ring, do some winter testings in Arjeplog, and some hot weather tests in Arizona / Nevada / California. And I'm 110% we will get some spy pics either by Lehmann & Co, Automedia (Brenda Priddy), KPG, or even some amateur. :usa7uh:

Right now we have only a few pics of A4 avant mules.

I guess Q5 will be in Geneva ... but next year. :usa7uh:

Like I said ... Q5 concept very possible - yet I don't think that can be considered as a "world premiere". Or it can? :D

Also ... If Audi is going to show A5, A4, Q5, A3 cabrio, RS6, A6 facelift & TT S all in 2007 what else is left for 2008? :t-hands: Wouldn't be 2008 in such a case a very poor year for Audi premieres (what? A3 facelift & R8 V10 only?)?

I don't think so.

@EnI: There is also coming a A1, A7, Q3, R4 till 2009.
The only real new cars are A5 Coupe', A4 Sedan, A5 cabrio, A4 Avant, and Q5.
BTW, do the name "Ehra-lessien" say something to you. ;)

Hans.

OK. If so, what after 2009? I think all these launches will happen in a longer time period - eg. till 2011. Isn't A1 scheduled for 2009 release?

Mind that beside engineering / financial / production issues there are also product planning / marketing / sales issues. All these sources are limited. Eg. not only Audi but also suppliers & dealers have to expand their facilities & get new resources. And that takes time.

Launching 11 new models (A5 coupe, A5 cabrio, new A4 sedan, new A4 avant, A3 cabrio, Q5, Q3, A1, A7, new A8, R4) in 2 years (!!!) is a pure science fiction.

Btw, A3 cabrio is also a new model. ;) And A4 Sportback possibly.

Ehra-Lessien - yes, VAG's private test track, know that. Still spy photographers are also active nearby, so ... :eusa_danc

I'm just saying nowadays it is impossible to test car invisibly. So two weeks before Geneva opening, and still no Q5 prototype spy pics - I'm saying it would be a BLOODY MIRACLE Q5 appearing in Geneva. As a concept - perhaps, as a production vehicle - no way.

Audi is very capable company with very capable people, yet still they - I'm sure - can not perform miracles. Although some Audi fans would like to believe they can (O praise the almighty Audi, all ye faithul). ;)

EnI no offence but your are stubborn. Q5 will be in Frankfurt along with new A4. Just cause you don't like it doesn't mean that it won't happen. :D

Remember that A4, A5 and Q5 are based on the same platform (MLP or B8 if you prefer), that platform was 90% ready since the Roadjet concept (which was build on the B8) so Audi had pleanty of time for testing.

Yes, I am stubborn. Why? Because I know I'm right!

You'll see in few months. Then remember my words, crawl to me & tell me you were wrong & I was right, and then beg for my forgiveness.

:D

PS: I'm ready to do the same in the case you are right. Yet I'm sure you are not. :D

:t-cheers:

Put a bet on it. Loser has to donate the money to a charity of the winners choice. :D

I love world premiers. Cant wait to see what audi have to show us. TBH Im scared for the A5. Nothing we have seen so far indicates that it will live up to expectations.

ΟΚ. Ιf Q5 is shown in Frankfurt then you will have to buy a diecast model of the car for me.:D

My point is that Q5 production version won't be shown along with new A4 production version. Q5 Concept is possible though. Or even production version of Q5 - but in this case production version of new A4 won't be there.

So ...

OK, in the case BOTH PRODUCTION VERSION A4 & Q5 will be in Frankfurt, you'll get 1:87 Q5 model. :usa7uh:

In the case none of them, or only one of them - either A4 or Q5 -, or non-production Q5 Concept is shown then you are obligated to buy me a 1:87 E92 M3 diecast.

DEAL?

:usa7uh:

Audi Q5: Coming to Geneva? Leaked on official website.

The guys over at AudiWorld found a leak of the Audi Q5 at the official Geneva Motor Show website. Does this mean the Q5 will be shown or did somebody made a mistake?

The official Geneva Motor show website recently listed the Audi Q5 as a world premiere for the Geneva motor show, using a popular CGI impression (above) as its visual reference.

Interestingly, that entry was removed from the site a day after it was put up.

I don't buy it. The chances of Audi launching two new models at the sametime is as unlikely as the chance of Britney Spears growing back all her hair in time for the Oscars. Like Eni wrote a Q5 Concept is possible.

But the s5 is on their ite, they arent going to wait till the new york auto show to show it, are they? Someone already has real life pics of it on another thread... :(

The TT roadster has already been shown, My hunch is the A5&S5 count as one, and than there will be another concept shown, like Scott said, probably the Q5 or A4 concept.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
