Hot! Audi: What's Next?

Latest news, trending discussions, reviews, and major updates
Unrelenting onslaught of ugly slop incoming this year.

New design language c.2027+ can't come fast enough
Especially for the interior, current cars are really terrible in this regard, A5,6,Q3,5,6 it’s all the same shit.

Same screens and black plastic everywhere.

From what I understand, the abolishing of the current dash-screen design is Audi AG's objective for the future generation of "Radical Next" vehicles. The current designs will be succeeded by those similar to that seen in the Concept C.

Are Audi also launching a large portfolio of new or FL models in the next 2 years like BMW and Mercedes? Both those brands are launching 40 new or facelifted models each so will totally overwhelm Audi if they dont also launch updated models.

I know. I really wonder if the B10.5 updates will address those issues and also bring back buttons.

I do want to say Q3 interior doesn't feel as cheap to me in build quality than the PPC cars. I mean yeah it has woven cloth on the doors but the overall feel is sturdier and less black plastic.

This year confirmed launches:
new Q7 and Q9 and A2 e tron, S6 avant and A6 allroad, Q4 e-Tron

Next year:
RS 6 Avant Phev (v6phev 🥱) and production version of Concept C

Everything else is speculation, like the A4 e-Tron

Really the only cars here that *might* challenge BMWs and Mercs are the Q7 and Q9, but who knows they might have the same shitty interior as the A5 and whatnot

Huge potential. But can also end up looking crappy if they put the recycled materials seen in modern cars nowadays when the production version hits the market…

Personally...not really very interested in anything other than the future "Radical Next" vehicles. All else is a bit like re-toasted stale bread.

Audi renewed almost its entire range last year, or at least the most important ones, and since the designs are outdated, it was practically useless. This was reflected in the lukewarm reception and even in the drop in sales. Therefore, it doesn't mean much to launch 40 models if most of them aren't up to par with the competitive environment we live in, with the futuristic designs of 100 Chinese brands and your direct competitors. You'll just be stagnating.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
