Hey guys, so as the tittle says this is a thread to compare these two brands quality. Now we all know both belong to VW, and that porsche does have in general better quality, tho i still have my doubts when it comes to Audis like the new TTS, R8, RS models and some higher end s models (S6,7,8)...
So i know some of u guys own or owned cars that fit for this comparison, such as @Betty Swollocks , @MoSs , @rurella , @DocM , @Sayyaaf , @mini_cooper4
So basically i wanted to know from those who really know about this topic if Porsche has the definite better quality or if any audi model has a better quality.
Consider interior build quality and materials as well please!

I've owned a Porsche Boxster S for a year and that was excellent quality. It is the same as other Porsches that I've seen and experienced at motor shows and in dealers.

With regards to Audi, I don't think they deserve all the plaudits they get for their interiors. The current A4 I never considered a high quality interior, even when it was brand new. In my R8, some switches feel a bit cheap and the ergonomics are not always ideal. It is getting quite an old design now and it feels very low tech interior wise. The exception is the gorgeous full leather dashboard with grey stitching that I specced on my car; that is nice and premium.

With their recent cars, the TT is by far and a way the best interior quality wise and visual wise......at any price.

So the tt is closer to porsche quality than any other audi?

Currently we own a 2015 Cayenne S (traded my Macan Turbo, the rear seats were just too small for business needs) and Boxster S that my wife drives primarily. Fit and finish on both vehicles are quite good in my view with the Boxster S being more refined in terms of the driving experience. No issues to report but both have very low mileage. A few small issues with the Macan Turbo while I owned it like a leaky rear window washer nozzle but nothing substantial.

No real expereince with Audi's other then as a passenger.

It's all very subjective but the TT is very impressive. Some other people may still think it's not as good as Porsche.

I too prefer the new TT's (and A3/S3's) functional but sporty interior to modern Porsche's button fest. The Audi interior layout remind me more of the simple functional old school Porsche interiors than the new Porsche ones.

In my opinion, the A3 has the best quality-per-buck interior of any car on sale today. It easily eclipses that of the B8 A4 and A5. Porsche's current interiors are beautifully made and solidly fastened together but too many buttons clutter up the otherwise clean interior design.

For some reason i kinda dig all those buttons in a porsche, idk, it just makes me feel like the car has more things to play with even tho thats not entirely true... Takes away the simplicity that some super expensive cars like mclarens have, which i personally dont consoder to be very attractive, i mean, i like to see where my money went! And all those buttons allow me to see it... Just my POV...

I was going to say that. Are we actually talking about quality or reliability? Audi quality is good, reliability is not so good.
We were talking about quality, tho u pointed an interesting thing... Ur actually the 1st one i've ever seen sayin audi isnt reliable

Historically they've had issues, especially the 4 cylinder lumps. Google 'cam belt tensioner related engine failures'.

And it was my main reason for posting that. Quality that is superficial means nothing.

Well, in my perspective, quality is just as important as reliability! Thats the main reason i dont like JDMS or such, they do have the reliability, tho quality is not present, sure its all functional, but say ur buying a $80k luxury car, would you want fake aluminum, wood and such? I wouldnt... Sure, with 80k u can get a hyundai equus or a lexus gs350, wich are said to have bmw 7er level luxury, but really, id rather have a mid sized sedan with a little less luxury but with much better quality, such as audi a6 or bmw 5er!
OBS. I once saw a commercial on the equus which hyundai claims that it has rolls royce level tech... (Hyundai your drunk, go home)
