Audi TT Moment 2.0 Concept

What I am currently wondering is whether Audi will actually present a new entrant in the large luxury sedan segment. Things have gone totally silent regarding a successor to the D5 A8. And the Grandsphere concept was presented...4 years ago. Since then...nada.
Throughout the years I have really admired the A8 and I would be happy Audi would use the design influences from the Grandsphere or even the front and rear such as the Urbansphere but in a saloon silhouette.

What else were you expecting? It's exactly that. Like how the Taycan and E-tron GT are the exact same thing.
And has been the case with Audi since forever. It’s a fake brand. Either VW clones or Porsche clones lately.

With this new TT, I expect to have a similar feeling as with the Taycan and the e-tron RS: why would anyone go for a Porsche clone with an Audi skin instead of choosing the actual Porsche model?

I believe the best thing for Audi is to asume this is just a SUV brand now.

Audi has probably lost all credibility in the sportscar/quasi-sportscar space. The R8 and TT are now gone. Whether Audi's new F1 endeavour can change common brand perceptions remains to be seen.

Maybe the SUV/SAC segment is the one in which Audi can most effectively maintain a positive degree of brand equity. The Activesphere concept is something that could evolve into something quite special. A5 and A6 segment sedans and Avants are also a universally recognized element of the Audi DNA. Or perhaps even commingling the Avant/sedan configurations into a single 4 door shooting brake "Sportbrake" type of vehicle could be an interesting element in a revamped business model.

I would be happy to hear more about a new A8 as well, what a coincidence that I saw this illustration today:

While it leans very asian, imho it could still be a better successor than nothing.

Other than a hood and a prestige clearance that are too short, I find this quite good.

It need's more "RWD" !

Just no. Whatever replaces the A8 needs to be a stunning, a breath taker. They have nothing to lose at this point since the current A8 is about as invisible and unloved as a car in this segment can be.

Yes. The D5 A8 had a promising start in it's home market and then...kinda fizzled-out all together. I'm just guessing, but I could easily believe that the D5 is the most unsuccessful A8 since the model line's inception back in 1994. Fundamentally a very good automobile indeed, but seemingly devoid of character and soul. Sterile.
Intracorporate political bickering between Audi and Porsche regarding the use of a platform, Porsche wanting to lend it's MSB and Audi insisting on it's MLB produced ill fated results. Audi won that particular conflict...and ironically lost in the end. An MSB underpinned A8 would have had a far better chance of being successful IMHO.

I really hope the rest is more elegant than this view!
It gives me a Jaguar concept vibe, and that's not a compliment.
The front better not be as flat and souless as the Jaguar's.
Come on Audi please be good.

Well...Audi appears to have adhered to their announcement that the new design paradigm will be exceptionally "less is more" minimalistic and monolithic. I dare say...I LIKE it. Alot, actually.

Now..can and, above all, WILL this be accurately translated into future serial production vehicles ? 2, 4 and 5 door, low and elevated ride height alike ? Hope so. CEO Gernot Döllner says it will and hopefully, he's not jivin'. I'm digging the sort of timeless, vault-like JLR and RR vibes that this car exudes. A promising signature. Please don't allow Audi AG bean-counters and mid-tier management numbskulls to f*** this up.

I like the simple in design it's better for the eyes for sure but i don't like "Flat" looking lines and design like the Jaguar EV Concept.
it's look "Robot" like and for my eyes it's not that good.
But let's wait for the full car sometime on view is bad but the rest is good.
The wheels give me Taycan vibe i like it and the back look intresting too.

As the first Audi product designed under the supervision of new design chief Massimo Fraschella, that "brethren spirit" of design shared with JLR can be expected. I am probably in the minority, but I'm expecting the serial production version of the Jaguar 00 Concept to be quite stunning.

I really hope you right.

Kind of looks like the AUDI which came from
Audi which decided it should be called an AUDI despite coming from Audi. In China will this be an AUDI even though it’s an Audi?

What will the car be and who will buy it? The roadster segment is dead. If its ICE, who wants to buy a glorified GolfGTI or Golf R at a 30-40% premium.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
