Audi S6 will get more power than expected

The Audi S6 will be available from June in Germany, starting from 79.800 Euro. That's no surprise so far. But!
Customers can expect a free power upgrade, because the Audi S6 will arrive with 435 bhp, not with the expected 420 bhp. That's great news!

The Audi S6 Avant starts from 82.000 Euro.

We talked about in another thread. My question is why more power?

Who knows? 435 hp is almost the same with 420 hp.:t-hands:

Because the RS6 is still a question mark whether it will be produced or not. I didn't really see a problem with the 420hp before, that's not to far away from the previous RS6.

Perhaps this means Audi has something really wild in store for the RS6?

IMO that 15hp more is kind of nonesence. This car has way too much power and 15hp don't make any difference.
BTW, is there any way to buy an S6 without the chrome grill and those LEDs?

Who knows? Maybe they are just doing it for marketting purposes or they are trying to please their customers. Or, they just dynoed the car and saw that they initially were wrong with the crank put out numbers. Who knows:t-hands:

All this does is put a smile :D on those who are going to get one.:usa7uh:

I highly doubt that the RS6 will not come out. I think it will. Think about it. The M5 is out there, the E55 will probably get an upgrade soon (not sure about this, this is hypothetical and an assumption based on no facts. I have to do my reseach). So with that said, having the car have 420 or 430 is not enough to compete with the number the E55 and the M5 have. So this means that an RS6 will come out. Who wouldn't want to have an RS6 in the first place? Audi has the perfect market for it and showed they did when the old RS6 came out.

RS is a growing line in my opnion and I wish at times it would subdue itself in the S division and Audi would do away with the S division al together. Althought this topic is not for this current one, I think this is an interesting one that has been talked about in the past.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
