Volkswagen is recalling 4,714 Audi sedans in the U.S. for fuel leaks and sunroofs that can shatter, according to filings with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

On the 2013-2014 Audi S6 and S7, the fuel line to the 4.0-liter V8 engine can become "damaged over time" and leak fuel, which can result in a fire. Audi headquarters in Germany first received owner reports citing gasoline smells back in April and decided to conduct a recall in September after an investigation. A total of 3,594 cars are affected. No related injuries or accidents have been reported, Volkswagen said.

Dealers will replace the fuel lines now (owners should have already received notice by mail).

On the 2013-2014 Audi A8 and S8, the sunroof can crack and even shatter due to bumps in the road or if the doors are slammed shut. Volkswagen said its sunroof supplier had changed the production process which weakened the glass after it was cooled. The problem has since been corrected on later A8 and S8 models, and no injuries or accidents have been reported. A total of 1,120 cars are affected.

As before, owners should have already received notice and can bring their cars to Audi dealers now where they will receive a new sunroof. Owners can call Audi at 1-800-822-2834.
