Veyron = Over powered Beetle :)

The speed is insane and even other cars with similar power can't beat it as a drag race. Getting all the power down to the pavement is the Veyronäs biggest specialty.

Now I want to see a Veyron vs Ruf RT12 race. :t-drive:

Actually the figures released say that a Caparo will out accelerate a Veyron.
At 100 km/h they'll be on equal foot, but by 160 Km/h the Caparo will be ahead.

The power-to-weight ratio favors the Caparo heavily, as does the aerodynamics/grip solution.

At high speeds the Caparo will get a lot of aero-grip while Veyron will be limited to AWD mecanical grip (and that implies bigger power loss).

What transmission does the Caparo have? IRL the Veyron is very fast thanks to the DSG transmission. It is only a matter of flooring the gas pedal and taking off.

The Physics department will be happier to know that the car produces a staggering 800kg of downforce with a combination of Venturi effect underneath the car, that adjustable single-plane rear wing and a twin-plate front.

That's pretty nice, but .. had the Veyron taken on a Caparo T1, it couldn't have left it in the dust like that ... Well not until after 330 Km/h. :D :D :D

And if the road wouldn't have been straight, but twisty, than the BIG BUG would have been really embarrassed.

I could just imagine a comparison between the 2 on a track. :icon_twis :icon_twis

What about the CCX whatever, I thought it did 0-60mph under 3sec also, and has a top speed around 250mph?

Question is when the CCX and the Veyron will have results that are possible to compare. VW has so far refused to run at the Nardo (where Koenigsegg holds the record) and VW will never let Koenigsegg take a run at the Ehra-Lessien (where the Veyron holds the record).

Thus the Veyron holds the record on flat ground and the Koenigsegg holds the record on oval course.

I wouldn't count on the Koenigsegg ever reaching such a figure. Unless something similar to a launch control system was fitted, the CCX isn't going to acheive that number any time soon.

Wee, I do not know about the track, but in the twisties the Veyron anihilated the Ferrari Enzo, Porsche CGT, and Lamborghini Murcielago. The article was on a Brittish magazine, and they were utterly dismayed and surprised that the Veyron felt more of a handler than even the Enzo.

I think his talking about EVO magazine, the articles were posted here and there was a Zonda S instead of the Murcielago.

Well thats the thing...we don't really know how it performs around tracks...they might of been concentrating so hard on making it fast, its rubbish on tracks....where as the r8 its got power and is brill on tracks.....
