Audi announces third generation of the Q7

Audi will unveil the third generation of the Q7 in summer 2026. The SUV builds on more than 20 years of success, combining versatility, confidence, and premium status.

Since it was launched in 2005, the Audi Q7 has become a fixture of the SUV segment. I do like it but it looks just like the smaller Q5.

I thought more like the Q3, especially with the split headlights.

The new Q7 appears IMHO to represent a transitional design. A bridge of sorts between the former Marc Lichte supervised design era and the incoming Massimo Frascella "Radical Next" future design paradigm. Somewhat smoother surfacing than exclusively Lichte+team exercises, not quite as razor precise, rigidly minimalistic as "Radical Next" presented in the form of the Concept C and Nuvolari.

Also, what happened to the winglet style door handles? Did they change them last minute?

Not a fan of the split headlights front end though, and I already know the side profile is going to be pretty baad.

Side profile is pretty good looking I think. Slightly reminds me of the GLS.
Rest is very bad, particular the front where literally everything sucks. Those rear lights are very, very bad too.

The next X5 is going to eat good.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
