Audi announces third generation of the Q7

Audi will unveil the third generation of the Q7 in summer 2026. The SUV builds on more than 20 years of success, combining versatility, confidence, and premium status.

Since it was launched in 2005, the Audi Q7 has become a fixture of the SUV segment. Audi is now refining the successful SUV: the new generation impresses with its sporty, powerful design, a highly versatile interior, first-class materials, user-centric technologies, and a wide spectrum of driving characteristics, from comfortable to dynamic.

First glimpse of the all-new Audi Q7
With the Q7, Audi is continuing its model initiative. The third generation joins the first-ever Audi Q9, which will top the lineup when it makes its world debut at the start of the second half of the year. A close-up offers a first glimpse of the all-new Audi Q7.

The styling looks good, it looks a whole lot more dynamic and sportier than the previous model and doesn't appear that big. The interior also looks good, I especially like the wood trim on the console and the doors, and hardly any black shiny plastic (except on the side air vents, which look slightly cheap for this kind of car). The passenger screen should be thrown in the bin, it spoils the dash just like all other cars. The instrument cluster and center screen have awful graphics, they look dated compared to the latest Mercedes and BMW infotainment systems.

Are there any more wheel options?

That blue/beige interior is very nice. Currently the best looking new Audi, i still hate that dash design, huge bezels and passenger screen, but its still better than the other models.

The non S line looks basic for real, but the S line is great. Would be good to see it in black and other colors, not a fan of this denim style blue.

I’m sure there are plenty, but these are the only ones shown on the website at the moment. We’ll see the other ones once the configurator is up.

I'll be interested in taking this for a test drive. It looks dramatically better than the previous generations. It's crazy to me that this car was supposed to come out in 2023.

Yay. Diesel lives on :love::love::love:
This might be the first new-generation Audi to have less piano black inside than the previous generation.. pleasantly surprised by the plentiful use of wood inside. Love the interior for sure.
The reduction in glossy surfaces is a winner. Gives the cabin a more calm vibe like Volvo and Range Rover interiors. Bye Bye Miele appliance looks.

Previously, if you wanted a beige interior or wood, you had to buy a Bentyga. Look at the attention to detail here. It's beige throughout including centre console, carpets and plastic surrounds on the seats for the electric door switch gear.

It looks great. The whole SUV line up of Audi looks fantastic now.

Just put the damn real rings back!

actually the front doesn't look good and somehow it reminds me of many cars such as a santa fe ,the side looks good and the rear is ok. audi is very lazy when it comes to rear light design since they used almost the same design in many of their current cars

Very impressive looking indeed. I honestly think it kicks both the current X7 and FL GLS out the park for styling and possibly interior.

Funny seeing all the existing Q7 and Q8 owners shitting on the new interior.. the reality is the new interior clearly has far less visible plastic compared to the old interior.

The passenger screen sucks but I love the lack of piano black plastic in here.

This Q7 competes with the X5 and GLE; the upcoming Q9 is the competitor to the X7/GLS.

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
