A5/S5/RS5 Audi A5 / S5 Picture Thread

No word yet on pricing in the U.S., but I'd imagine $43k and $50k+ for the A5 and S5, respectively.

As far as Audi's value proposition in the market; It's unbeatable. Even on this side of the world none of the other premium brands offer such tremendous value for the money as Audi does. The A5/S5 is a much welcomed addition to the Audi lineup. The only thing I dislike about the A5/S5 is the C pillar design, I find it extremely atrocious(screws w/ an otherwise flawless design).

After some retrospection... The S5 offers great value. Think about it. Nobody does a V8 + quattro + manual coupé this cheap. When I knew about the price, I was seriously blown away. It's just a shade more expensive than a 335i and it offers full specs - B & O sound, sunroof, etc. It's seriously the coupé to grab now.

How is the S5 priced in your countries?

in my country 335i is priced as a A5 3.2q, if you want a S5 then its much more expensive. Price wise, 335i and S5 arent competitiors.

335i offer best performance for lowest price, the other germans dont even have a car that give you so much as a 335i for its price.

I agree about the C-pillar. But it's a minor detail in my book - makes it look a little like a sportback - which isn't a bad thing...

Interesting. For some reason Audi decided to make the S5 a steal here. My friend picked up one last week...

I don't know why they just couldn't arch it like what you see on the TT, that would do wonders in making this car even better looking than it already is. It looks like some sort of afterthought they threw in at the last minute to leave a trace of nostalgia to the original Audi coupe design, which is quite lame, IMO.

Yeah, oh well, at least the whole of the A5 looks pretty decent. I kinda feel that the launch of both the S5 and A5 kinda removes the design flaws of the standard car somewhat. We're always seeing pictures of the S5, which is far more optioned and looks a lot more beautiful with the bodykit. I suspect we won't rave as much if we keep seeing photos of the standard A5.

Sure, sure. We're planning to do a white car photoshoot next year. :D

^^Nice but I don't like those rims. I seriously wonder how this car will look with some Nuvolari replica rims...now that would be sick!

Normally, I'm not a great fan of red cars, but the S5 looks nice with this colour...it only needs a black or beige interior... :)

I've yet to see chrome rims on the S5 that appeal to me! Alloy's look amazing, but for some reason chrome doesn't.:eusa_thin

Good heavens cawimmer430, I know your jaw must of dropped!? More please?:eusa_pray :D

Such a hot car.

I love the friggin Audi A5!   :D

I wanted to take more shots but I had my dog with me and taking precision pictures with a DSLR camera and a pulling dog is tough as hell. Plus there were a bunch of punks near the car and I didn't want to appear like a moron infront of them. :D

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
