Zagato Aston Martin Zagato concept revealed

Italian coachbuilding titan since 1919. Famous for the "Double Bubble" roof and elite, low-volume collaborations with Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, and Ferrari. Official: Zagato
I mean, I want Aston Martin to change their designs, but that rear doesn't say Aston Martin to me.

^ That's because it's a Zagato - they have a prior association and history of making Aston Martins look less like Aston Martins. In no way does this represent a styling direction for the marque.

IMO, it ruins the Vantage's design. Hope Aston would not make it a blueprint for the next Vantage.

That's one hell of a baboons ass for a rear. How do you even see anything through the rear wind shield. Let alone reverse up a drive way with such an obscure diffuser.

Aston Martin has accidently published the brochure for the V12 Zagato, ahead of its official unveiling at the Kuwait Concours d' Elegance on February 15th.
Looking virtually identical to the concept, the production model is based on the V12 Vantage and features bespoke carbon fiber / aluminum body work with bulging fenders, a double-bubble roof and a ventilated hood. There's also a prominent rear spoiler and exclusive 19-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.
Inside, the cabin is luxuriously appointed with premium leather sport seats, carbon fiber trim and a unique weave pattern. Elsewhere, there's a rearview camera, GPS navigation and plenty of Zagato badging. Options include lightweight seats and a 1000 watt Bang & Olufsen Beosound audio system.
Power comes from a 6.0-liter V12 engine with 510 bhp (380 kW / 517 PS) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual transmission which enables the 1680 kg (3704 lb) car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 305 km/h (190 mph). In terms of efficiency, the model averages 16.4 L/100 km (17.3 mpg UK / 14.3 mpg US).
Other performance highlights include a limited slip differential, carbon ceramic brakes and a dynamic stability control system with a track mode.

Arrgh, I hate that dildo shifter. Wish their interior design team could come up with something better. In any case, this zagato-and-paste job doesnt really blow my socks off. The DBS remains as the pinnacle of AM's sexiness.

Not sure I like that interior trim, though it must be said that press photos can sometimes look like crap. They really toned down the opening behind the front wheels (understandable considering how sticky P Zero Corsas would throw up gravel and debris through the openings) and the rear diffuser & exhaust setup too.

Power comes from the regular Vantage's normally aspirated 6.0-litre V12 producing 517PS (510bhp) at 6,500rpm and 570Nm (420lb ft) of torque at 5,750rpm, linked to a six-speed manual gearbox.

Production of the V12 Zagato will commence in the third quarter of the year with first deliveries to take place in the fourth quarter.

Aston Martin said it will build only 150 cars, all of which are available for pre-order with a starting price of £330,000 (plus local taxes), which comes to about US$519,700 or €398,500 at today's exchange rates.

Nearly perfect IF it wasn't for that Citroën DS5 gear selector.

And what a sound! Will surely knock Bieber off the charts:D
