Aston Martin One-77

They only did a partial reveal I see. A little over the top IMO, especially if it doesn't wow when the sheet comes all the way off.

:t-cheers:

Look how high that rear is. Can't wait to see the whole car.

I'm not holding my breath. It looks underwhelming already. Aston Martin are recycling Fisker's design too much. The current design chief hasn't introduced anything new and is just cruising on what Fisker did. This looks like a somewhat modified DB9.

Re: We're Getting Closer....

Uggh damn another one of those Vanquish variants..
Which is all i see modern astons to be..
Just diffrent smaller, larger, lower , better... VANQUISHES
they all look the same..

sickening

Re: We're Getting Closer....

I agree with you, Porsche Mini Aston and Audi need some fresh ideas.

Porsche is alright since their cars have always had strong sales because of their performance while sales of Aston 100% rely on design and image. That are the reasons for buying an Aston since their performance are quite mediocre.

Re: We're Getting Closer....

^ Hassan: if competition is offering similar performance then they really need to re consider their styling

Maybe it's too early to say but i already don't like it.

Re: Video!

I want to see the whole car now ! When are they going to officially unveil it?

Re: Video!

Another mindless teaser to create a whole lot of unwarranted hype.

I'm bored with this marketing strategy already.

I think this car is gonna be huge let down, just like the Reventon:D

Yes, I agree there is a possibility of that happening. But the Aston Martin should be better because it is going to be a completely new car, whereas the Lamborghini Reventon was a Murcielago with new body styling and with much of the interior carried over.

The AM 1-77 will be based on a brand new carbon fibre chassis and it needs to have a completely new and bespoke interior that is unique to this model. We know the engine and drivetrain will be new and exclusive to the 1-77 for now. Anything less than that, clients would feel being ripped off.

I only hope the Aston martin engineers have learned the mistakes with the Vanquish's carbon fibre chassis.

The One-77 doesn't look much different from a DB9. Aston Martin don't seem to have a design department since they've basically haven't introduced any new exterior designs since Fisker left. For a £1 000 000 car, the One-77 doesn't look bespoke enough.

More than 100 people have applied to buy the One-77, the most expensive road car in the world, even though only 77 will be made.

The 200mph car was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this week, and Aston Martin said that the growing financial gloom had not hit sales.

"The interest is incredible," chief designer Marek Reichmann told The Sun newspaper.

Aston Martin has been reluctant to release details about the One-77, but it is known to have a 7.0 litre V12 engine, carbon fibre chassis, and aluminium body.

"One-77 fuses advanced technology with stunning Aston Martin design to create possibly the world's most desirable automotive art form," the Warwickshire-based carmaker said.

It will "deliver exhilarating performance for a strictly limited number of discerning customers", the according to the firm.

The first few the cars are expected to be delivered to their super-rich buyers – who each have to pay a £200,000 deposit – in autumn next year.

Mr Reichmann explained that the 77 in the car's name did not have any technical importance.

"The number 75 just seemed way too obvious and normal," he told the Inside Line car website. "The number 77 was just two lucky sevens."

The One-77 takes the title of the world's most expensive car from the Bugatti Veyron, which was on for sale for around £800,000.
