Aston Martin One-77

It arrived too late. It will be pinned against the F12 I'm afraid it's not going to win.
Should have come in 2010.

For most of us such cars are overpriced, but that is just because we can't afford them. I think, even a car that costs 10 Mio is not overpriced. Just take watches or jewelry for example, they already cost some milions, though many of the ultra rich buy this stuff. So an exclusive car, where there buyer will fully pay for R&D and Production, 10 Mio is nothing. But if such cars have no succes, it is just because 99% of those people, are not die-hard car enthusiasts.

At that price and those volumes, it was never going to win. But with all 77 spoken for, it's already met whatever targets Aston had for it, and it can be argued that it doesn't need to stand comparison against the F12.

+1

Same goes for the LFA.

Did any of these make it to the U.S. market? This is likely the most exotic car in the world, at least production number wise. This car is just off the charts...

But the One-77 takes the price for the most expensive and vulnerable rear bumper in the history of automotive. A small dent of crack would require replacing that entire piece of hand moulded CF that accounts for the bumper, deck, fenders and rear section of the roof.

its bodypanels are not made from carbon, they are made from hand-rolled aluminium panels (the rear is made from 3 pieces welded together if i'm not mistaken), STILL, if the damage becomes too big to repair and you need a replacement part it's gonna cost you ALOT

You know, I've stopped to think how incredible the existence of this car is. Not in the sense that the car is incredible - obviously it's a fine piece of machinery - but rather than this car cost over 1 million dollars. It's incredible to think that in a troubled economy that a car as such even exists.

It really isn't that incrediable, for the uber wealthy they've never had it better, there are more billionaires roaming the planet today than ever before. People with vast wealth might lose a billion of so but to them it's only paper and doesn't stop them enjoying life. What's a millions pounds for a car when you spend 200m on a jet or 100m plus on a yacht, the car is a bit of a bargan.

Mafalda for you one77 can be sa fast as LFA, 599 or F12??? For me faster than LFA but surely non fast as F12! Maybe between 599 and 599gto...
What do you think about?

This is a stunning car but it has been so quiet in the press lately. I wonder if a magazine like Autocar will ever be able to get one and road test it would be interesting to know how fast it is.

This has got to be the most elusive supercar of all time. Never seen anyone test it. Did any of these make it to the U.S.?
