If these pieces of metal were religious, they’d be Buddhists. And good ones at that, for their new life is way better than the previous, so they must have done something right first time out.

Fifty artists from around the world got to a scrap yard in Pruszkow, near Polish capital Warsaw, and started working on transforming these, now useless, pile of rubbish into replicas of automotive icons.

What they came up with were a Merc 300 SL, Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Aventador, a Fiat 500 and Maserati GranTurismo (oh, and a motorbike, too).

They were sticklers for detail, too, going to the trouble of making even the interior as similar as possible to that of the actual cars’. Attention to detail is stunning; just check out those curves of the Merc, the “engine” of the Bugatti and the Fiat’s cabin and you’ll probably agree one hundred percent.

Strangely, there is no Ferrari. A pity, it would have fitted perfectly right next to the SL. Perhaps by the time they get to the second display at the 2017 Dubai Auto Show, a 250 GTO might have popped up.

A special thanks to Leslaw Sagan from Autoswiat for sharing these photos!
