Spotted today. This is another test car of some sort. I took the first few shots from a distance and waited until the driver exited the car, then I snuck up close to take some more shots. :usa7uh:

Or then the owner is just concerned that the BMW badges will get scratched :D

Usually, a badge less rear looks nice. This looks a bit too plain. But the rest of the car is a beauty.

The rims and trim level have a lot to answer for. It's amazing how those things can really pep up any car. :usa7uh:

I don't think this was a hybrid. I could hear the car as it parallel parked as I was standing next to it (I just put some distance between me and the car so I could take some photos from afar since I didn't want to get into any kind of trouble with the driver). It was definitely a gasoline engine. Perhaps an entry-level 520i or something like that. :usa7uh:

Yeah, choud be, but then again it does have 18" rims, professional sat-nav and leather clothing. Of course they can have equipped it afterwards to.. One thing's for sure it isn't a upperclass model, doesn't have leather dash nor the two exhaustpipes separately. I'm pretty confident it's the 520i too.
And BTW, if anyone's wondering (probably not) why I've been here quite much today is 'cause I'm sick.. Off to bed--> :sleep1zh:

520i will be a 4 cylinder and doesn't exist right now. The only 4 cylinder right now is the 520d Touring (184 hp). Not even 520d sedan, only 523i sedan and 525d as entry 5er sedan models right now.

As for this car, they're not testing anymore. This simply is a new 5er with the badges still taped off because the dealer introduction has yet to occur, and no BMW that is not yet in the dealership has visible badges..

Nice pics though Wimmer. Thanks!

Yes the 520d although launched in Geneva arrives in the German market from June and the rest of europe immediately after.

Yes,you are correct. This is possibly one of the last FEP cars that are used by BMW employees in the final evaluation programme. Sadly this car will be crushed.

Nice pics though Wimmer. Thanks!
As always.:usa7uh: Be on the lookout for X3 FEP prototypes are several have flown in from South Carolina for European FEP testing.
