E-Class (W211) Another rumer of the E63AMG

The Mercedes-Benz W211 is the third generation of the E-Class range. Made from 2002 to 2009 in sedan/saloon (W211) and station wagon/estate (S211) configurations – replacing the W210 E-Class models and superseded by the Mercedes-Benz W212 in 2009. Production: January 2002 – April 2009 (sedan), February 2002 – June 2009 (station wagon).
im getting tired of these rumours. Its time for MB to reveal it.

EDIT
Apparently its not a new rumour, they translated it from german Autobild which posted this long time ago.

Actually the source of this article is from Autobild, yes.

Thing that bugs me most is will we see this engine in the face-lifted E-Class or not. I don`t believe we will, I believe MB will reserve this engine for the 2008-09 W212 E-Class.

I think we would have heard of it by now, by a more reliable source. Im not sure its in the making. Perhaps it will get something completely new and unheard of.

Guys the E63 will be revealed in March at the Geneva autoshow, bank on it. There is no rush for it to come to market. We all know that once Mercedes debuts a new engine, whether it be a regular engine or a AMG one, it will be placed into every Mercedes in a year's time.

There is no way Mercedes is going to keep the current 5.5L SC V8 around until 2009. The E63 will be a 2007 model for sure. The only cars that might not get the new V8 during 2006 is the C55 and SLK55 models.

The only question remains how much hp will the E, CLS, S, SL, CL and CLK63 models will have, not if they're going to get this engine.

You do have a good point there Merc1 but remember, AMG models like the E55 AMG and even the M models from BMW usually have a 5-6 year life span
before thay are discontinued. That would put the (W212) E63
right in the bulls eye for debut.

The E55 was just introduced in 2003-04. That still makes it a reletively new car.

Man the people on Autospies are such pricks. Nothing but full of BIAS forum members... :t-banghea

That’s not necessarily true Carlton.
Some AMG models were only around for a couple of years like the pre-face lifted S55 (’01 & ’02), the current S55 (W220) has been around since 2003. The ML55 (W163) was only in production for a couple years before it was discontinued. These are the only models I can come up with at the moment. I’ll look for the link to show the production years of AMG engines in recent years.

I am with Marcus on this one, there will be a face lifted E63 ( :eusa_pray )
