Active Aero.... on the Black Series? From the AMG One no less?

Is it not? I thought it was doing quite well?
Certainly better than the SL.

Based on what consumers wanted though. The number of young people who can afford aspirational vehicles like the GT is dwindling on a macro scale. The market wanted softer and more practical and that's what we ended up getting.
Whether this is a long term success remains to be seen. But, there's nothing really wrong with the formula. It's just different.

None of us will know. You'd need to speak with your AMG rep and express an interest in a less insane road going versions of the BS/TS.
Who knows they might be starting top down this time around rather than bottom up. Additional models lower down the line might help offset development costs/generate extra profit. But there needs to be a demand for it. The prior gen GT was a great product, but it didn't do numbers anywhere close to the 911.

They probably are leveraging the VW fleet. Would be insane not to.

I though trends were pointing to the opposite.

Gen X and millennials, were spending more on higher value items, traditional items, and the sales numbers supported it.

More rolex’s than ever
More cartiers
More ferraris, lambo’s, porka gt3’s than ever before. Special editions are in demand. Base models not so much

It was one of the few sectors in the automotive world that was still seeing growth, enthusiasts showing resilience and shunning hybrids and EV’s.

Highly regarded petrol head cars are in high demand.
Damn squibs like the new amg gt, not so much.

And ive just checked the sales figures of the original GT, vs the current model, and even with the current car having more entry level options (4 cylinder LOL) the old model in its first 2 years easily outsold the current vehicle.

It appears compared to the car it replaced, so far it is a sales failure. So much for making a product thats better as a daily, if people just dont want it full stop.

Is this an AMG GT with a lot of add-ons? Or is it a completely new body or one that's been heavily modified like the SL Black Series from a few years ago?
