GT (C192) AMG GT Track Sport (New Black Series)

Also, I can't find find a single car that uses HL prefix (high load) on its tires that isn't an EV or SUV.
It wouldn't surprise me if this thing eclipses the GT3 version in downforce.
It’s going to be a real monster that’s going to cause quite a stir!
 
The X192 model series code reveals that the AMG GT Black Series no longer has much in common with the "regular" AMG GT Coupé of the C192 series.

Rumors suggest the new GT Black Series will use carbon fiber in its body structure and replace the NAG3 (9G-Tronic) transmission. This will bring back the transaxle layout of the SLS AMG and the C190 generation AMG GT.

Here's what's known so far about the new AMG GT Black Series (X192):
V8 BiTurbo with a straight crankshaft and dry sump lubrication system
Side exhaust pipes located in front of the rear wheels (a return from the McLaren-Mercedes SLR)
This makes the rear diffuser wider and provides better airflow.
The vehicle can be lowered to achieve a lower center of gravity on the racetrack.
Michelin Cup2 R tires: Front 325/35 ZR20 and rear 355/30 ZR21. Active aerodynamic design with DRS (foldable) rear wing for higher top speed on flat roads.

As in the AMG One, wheel arch ventilation is provided via actively controlled winglets on the top, reducing back pressure in the wheel arch and optimizing downforce.

 
So this is a halo top of the line vehicle a’la SLR with the price and extremity to go with it. I like it, although I am not its target market. This strategy means, likely, no lower models without wings.

Makes sense why AMG felt comfortable abandoning the original coupe for the conventional current generation. However, I believe it was a miss to label the current GT a GT rather than a SLC. I get why they did, to orient their market on the intent of the model and not shock them that the next “GT” would be three times the price.

The tyre size on this GT Black Series are going to be enormous, wow 325 width in the front!!!! and 355 at the rear. I dont recall any other production car with wider tyres front and rear as this car.

This will be a car you take out for special occasions, not to get groceries like the current GT. It will essentially be a more expensive, sophisticated, German-built Viper ACR.
 
So this is a halo top of the line vehicle a’la SLR with the price and extremity to go with it. I like it, although I am not its target market. This strategy means, likely, no lower models without wings.

It definitely makes sense as a true successor to the SLR and the SLS.
