Americans too fat to drive?

My sister was stranded in Miami last weekend, when her British Airways flight back to London was delayed for a day due to some technical problem, this is what she emailed me:

"I went downstairs and had dinner and the waiter gave me a voucher for dinner and for breakfast. This time it was more than enough to cover the meal! At least British Airways got their act together with the quality of the accommodation and the food allowances! (Had a real American beef burger! MY GOD! I understand now why there are obesity problems in this country! It was SO good! I tell you - if I lived here, I am sure I'd be a big beefy momma!)"

My sister is very small.

My friend has a photo of it in his phone, not sure if he has deleted it or not, will definitely upload it when I get it.

^wow, and thats in an escalade!

i'd have to agree with what Robs sister wrote about American food. Some of the stuff is so tasty and abundant (ie. Krispy Kreme). I went to red lobster a few months ago near seattle and wholy crap! I didn't know what to order so I got a sample plater. this is what it looked like:

almost everything there was either deep fried or covered in heavy dressing. If I lived near a cold stone creamery i'd probably be 300lbs.

WOW that is a big plate.......Theres a guy who lives around the corner from me, and he must be like 7ft and weighs a ton....I sore him getting into a mercedes e-class taxi and he had trouble getting into it ..........and you wont to know what he drives????????????? I flippin little citroen ax....i will try and post a pic of it

I was in the states for one and a half months, about three weeks ago. Surprisingly I lost weight while I was over there, but I lost in mostly because I walked alot in Washington DC and New York, oh and I got food poisoning from McD's at the Air and Space museum in the Smithsonian

Here's my contribution to the fat jokes below... Mmmm deep-fried cheesecake with caramel and chocolate sauce drizzled on it. Heart-attack in a meal I tells ya.

At 1st I thought you can buy the entire candy bar for your home, but then I kept watching. It doesn't look that fattening right? Those fried candy stuff aren't that big. You can tell the staff has not been stealing some food cause he is still in relative proportion.

Im going to US next year and Im going to try out Mcdonalds. What do they serve in MCd in US? Extreme Megaburger and 1.5 liters Coca-cola?

I've been to McD's in France/Germany/Switzerland/UK/Australia/NZ, and comparatively, the burger and fries are about the same size. The size of the drinks depends on which area of America you are in. Although, all the big chains tend to have bottom-less drinks so you can drink as much as you want anyway.

Their biggest burger is the Double 1/4-pounder (I don't know why they just don't call it a 1/2 pounder?). Avoid their chicken burgers - eating it gave me food poisoning ;).

Actually avoid McD's in general. I don't know why I've been to so many McD's, because I hate it.

wow that heart attack is sick..
omg.. ppl must be stupid eating that ..
hell buy 2 whoppers.. and be civilisized about it
or buy 5 if your a fat ass..
but dont go a buy a 45cm high tower wich will embarass you while you eat it..

PS
This is what McD gives you in the us..
try it .. and please take photos..haha
WARNING..this is nasty. .i cant watch all of it

I fear this thread has been hijacked to show what unhealthy foods there are in the world ;)
So far, all the unhealthy food in America.

I think they just call them regular burger and small coke.

True, and we Finns are the third fattest people in Europe. The Maltese and the Greek take the top two positions.

I like to say that if you have a good time, you get fat... Actually all great things in life are either illegal or fattening :D :D :D

Seriously speaking, it's up to everyone's way of living. Personally, i exercise a bit, but because of my work i am on the move almost everyday, as i have to visit and supervise a number of building sites almost daily....Also stress is fattening. Beer is fattening too... (that's my biggest problem) :D
