So, as wimmer suggested, here's the thread where you can post pics of your 5 favorite BMWs of all time. Few words below every pic wouldn't hurt...;)

Let's do it!

:t-cheers:

My choices.

1) 1987 M3: I always considered this car a classic in the making. The design looks bullish and aggressive with a hue of understatement and the performance was mindblowing in its day.

2) 3.0 CSL: For its time, this car was just badass - and it still is.

5) E23 7-Series: Always liked these, beautiful design.

My favorite BMW of all time would have to be the E39 M5, it was the car that got me into BMWs, and every since I've liked pretty much every car that BMW has made. It was an amazing car, because it beat cars much newer than itself and much more powerful, well until the E55 came along, but they still said the M5 had bits that were better than the E55. I still like the current M5, but it's not as special as the E39 because that's the car that got me into the brand!

My second favorite BMW would have to be the M1, it is the only supercar BMW have ever made, I hope they make another one soon. It looked awesome and was a great race car.

My third favorite BMW would have to be the 2002 turbo, it is one of the cars which define BMW as it is today, and in it's day it was a great car. Also, even today it still looks good.

My forth favorite BMW would have to be the M3 CSL, I have always loved the E46 M3, and the CSL was the best version made. It was an extremely fast car, 7.50 around the ring!:D The engine was awesome, and has got to be one of the best engines ever. Also it had a lot of new technology such as the CF roof.

My fifth favorite BMW would have to be the E30 M3, it was basically the start of the M brand, well that people could afford. It still looks great, and again had an amazing engine, as all M cars do. Also now, it's a great performance buy!

There are many cars I love but left out, but seeing as it's just the top five, here's my list!

My top three.

850 CSi.

One of the most amazing coupes ever designed. Beautiful yet agressive.

Z8

No words..

E39 M5

The timeless styling, hardcore V8 and driving dynamics all mean it gets a spot on my list.

1) E39 M5: No words about this car. It is the car that got me deep into the BMW brand! I fell in love with this car from the very first momment i saw it. I can't say more. I will burst into love tears :D (anyone got this pic in 1024*768?)

4) E36 3er coupe: This car has a nice sporty look! I don't know why i feel it as something special, since quality and driving-wise, it is not BMWs best example, but this is the first Bimmer i drove and i was amazed (well, compare it with a Clio :D) Anyway, since it's not easy to explain why you love someone, this goes for this car, too!

5) E30 5er: Same goes for this car. Simple elegant lines, true BMW!

Looks like we have something in common there!:D

I still love that car, even though it's starting to look dated!

1st place: BMW 850CSI

[image no longer available]pics/8er/8501_832.jpg

That was around '90 while i lived in Germany due to war in Croatia. My father worked for big stockholder in Germany and this was for 6 months his car. Will never forget my 1st drive ever at 250km/h... I know many people that don't like it, saying not true BMW etc, but i love it! Even after so many years and so many great cars BMW produced in the meanwhile, this is still my fav BMW ever! And will remain so...

2nd place: BMW 635 CSI

[image no longer available]carimg2/171196_1.jpg

8 series came after this one and was the only worthy replacement of this beauty. A true BMW coupe with such great and timeless design which, believe it or not, for me is better than the current 6er. Friend of mine owned 2 of those several years ago and i've had a chance to drive it form time to time. It was in great condition and it had a lot of options/equipment for 1986 year. Very comfortable, stable at high speeds and pleasure to drive.

3rd place: BMW 740/750i

[image no longer available]pics/7er/3564_832.jpg

I know that many still say that this is the nicest 7er ever and i'll agree. No 7er of today comes close to this design. I myself couldn't believe that after this one came the E65! E65 being ugly compared to this? Yes, i say so! Especially, the 750Li, that was a beast!

4th place: BMW X5 (both new one and the old one)

[image no longer available]pics/x5/11709_1024.jpg
[image no longer available]blog/attach/1/1960693036.jpg

I know very few people in my life that don't like the previous one, but they're crazy! :D Imo, that was the best job of Chris Bangle so far. A true BMW (in looks) and thanks to engineers it drove/drives like a true BMW car, regardless of being an SAV. The new one is my next car i believe since i really hope it won't disappoint me after the test drive. It looks great to me, but it does need an Aero Package or the upcoming M package to look simply perfect!

5th place: BMW E60

[image no longer available]pics/BMW_535d_349-1024.jpg

The car i currently own... There was only one complaint until the recent facelift and that was my anger 'cause there was no LEDs in the rear...:D It has been fixed now, so everything is perfect! The design, the engines, the handling, the comfort... Absolutely incredible. I don't think i need to mention the M5; 1st V10 engine in mid-size sedan, F1 technology, all the awards...

:t-cheers:

Except for few exceptions I've always prefered newer cars. Here's my top three (Too hard to decide after the third :eusa_thin):

Numero uno:

[image no longer available]bmw_e39_m5-thumb.jpg

E60 5 Series
I can't understand how this car still looks so damn good! The angel eyes are absolutely stunning and the rear hasn't lost any of its fresh look. Many times titled "the best car in the world".

Numero deux:

e399a04abf84341b18dda109058bad95.webp

E46 M3
It was love from the first sight! This is one of the most important models in the BMW range. It's one of the icons that BMW is known for. Still love this car very much.

Numero drei:

[image no longer available]albums/s298/bmer_pb/mb6.jpg

E92 3 Series Coupé
My favorite from the current range. I love it's evolutionary design over the more revolutionary one of the other post-Bangle cars. I think it continues the E39 philosphy in the current BMW lineup.

Bubbling under (not in any particular order):

Z8
E38 7 Series
850CSi
E53 X5
E 60 5 Series

It's true, mate!

Actually, i still can't find a car that is more beautiful than a (FL) E39 M5!
I have promised myself that i will get one, one day!

in no particular order

the 8er, teutonic excellence with italian falire, hwo could you not like it? its flaws made it only more endearing, less machine more soul! i always fancied buying one, as they come cheap, but i couldn't keep up with fuel on my daily college run!

95bb0f4907f5646bc114f65780972e99.webp

the E65 7er, and more geenrally almost every 7er, being that they set the tone for the each revolutions future, always avant garde, always on the razor edge of technology, always BMW

[image no longer available]BMW-507_1955_1280x960_wallpaper_01.jpg
3.0 V8, timeless design, template for the Z8, exclusive as hell, what's not to like?

625bcee5469dde888fc8e5e63a70d3f3.webp

badass, badass, and even more badass, what should i say?

6b51af8c1040c4dc707eab184e56e0be.webp

the first BWM we ever owned, c lassic for ever. this will never be equalled!

I will start from bottom to top...

5th place... Z1. A gorgeous car...with very original way of opening its doors. It was actually one of the first remote control cars I've ever owned! :D

3rd place... M3 E46 CSL. An already great car...with fantastic performance, now less the "heavy" stuff.

[image no longer available]slides/TRC1522.jpg

2nd place... Z4 M Coupe. This is truly and honestly my dream car. By far the prettiest coupe around...very muscular...and with the M3 6cyl! What else can you ask?

773789f4686555da5c83fc529c85b949.webp

1st place... M5. This is my favorite BMW of all times. First of all its an M model...second of all its a saloon...third...it has an F1 inspired V10...fourth, an AMAZING exhaust note...firth F1 inspired heads up display...and finally...that M sport button! Really...what else can you ask?! :t-drive:

I hope sometime I'll be able to own one of the above...

It was the Bmw M5 (E60 in general) and the Bmw 7 series (E64?, well the current generation) that made me the BMW fan I am...

I appreciate the current design theme as it is exciting, dynamic and turns heads... In australia there are not many BMW's so they turns heads where ever they go...

For this reason they made me the BMW fan I am and for that reason they are my favourite BMW's of all time

:D
