I'm amused how many are annoyed by constant BMW model line expansion yet almost all want to hear news on new models. And many of you expecting an M model or super car will be launched every month.
Mind in the last 12 months M3 sedan & M3 cabrio were launched. Not enough?
And M family (when Z4 was still produced) had 9 members: M3 sedan, M3 coupe, M3 cabrio, M5 sedan, M5 Touring, M6 Coupe, M6 Cabrio, Z4 M Roadster, Z4 M Coupe.
Not enough for you?
Missing M models: complete 1er family, 3er Touring, 7er, complete X-family ... but that will change soon.
Also mind cars like M1, M3 CSL are very rare ... even for BMW. Coming in every 10 years.

I've told you zillion times already: BMW is not a sports cars brand like eg. Porsche, or Aston Martin etc. It never was. BMW has always been about sporty regular cars (mainly sedans & sedanish coupes). And that made BMW brand famous: sporty regulars. Not some special or exotic sports cars / supercars.
Go and ask all BMW owners - how many of them heard of M3 CSL, and how many based their buying decision on that fact.
Guys, you have no idea of the brand power / image. How it is established, how it is managed, how it is nursed ... etc.
Many of you are being hysterical, and jealous + frustrated since other brands are coming out with various sports cars / exotics, while BMW aren't.
Where's your confidence & self-esteem? BMW still is the sportiest high-volume premium brand. While eg. AM, Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari etc has ever been sportier than BMW.
Also: LF-A or R8 doesn't make IS / A4 or A4 / A6 sportier then 3er / 5er.
Keeping the core line sportier then the closest rivals is essential for BMW brand image. Not supercars & exotics. They can be just a cherry on the top of a cake. But the cake still have to be there, and has to be damn good.
