Im surprised VW is not near the top of that list for cars. How much are they worth?

Mini sales are totally stable without having released a new model in years, this brand has a shield that many others would like to have.
Now with the SE and new models announced will reach maturity in terms of sales

They certainly don't have that in the U.S. Their sales have been on a steady decline since 2014 unfortunately.

Correct, luckily they have increased in other markets which allows them to compensate.
USA is where the inclination towards SUVs is systematic, especially the medium and large ones, it would be time for MINI to leave that silly prejudice of "Minimize" and also do MAXI SUVs, which Citroen is doing with a lot of exit, (and that started from the idea of MINI in terms of design and orientation) is a good example to imitate, I saw one of these on the street and is perfect, different original and large

Interesting what is happening with German car sales in Oct 2019. Mercedes done really well with C, E and GLC.

Surprised the new 3-series is not in the Top10.

  • “We are satisfied with the unit sales achieved by Mercedes-Benz at the beginning of the fourth quarter, also in the context of the high prior-year basis. In view of the challenging environment for the entire industry, we can be proud of the impulses provided by our product offensive. And we are delighted with the positive feedback from customers on our new models,” stated Britta Seeger, Member of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz AG responsible for Marketing & Sales.
Stuttgart. Mercedes-Benz sold 199,293 cars worldwide in October, thus surpassing the prior-year month, which had been the bestselling October for the brand with the three-pointed star, by more than 9,000 units (+4.9%). The growth in October was largely driven by the new A-Class Saloon and the new GLC. The C-Class Saloon and Estate also boosted unit sales once again last month. Deliveries by Mercedes-Benz increased again in the months of January to October: sales of 1,924,536 cars with the star were 1.0% higher than in the prior-year period.

In the first ten months of the year, Mercedes-Benz maintained its market leadership in the premium segment in markets including Germany, UK, France, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Portugal, Denmark, Turkey, South Korea, Australia, Thailand, Canada, Republic of South Africa and other markets.

“We are satisfied with the unit sales achieved by Mercedes-Benz at the beginning of the fourth quarter, also in the context of the high prior-year basis. “In addition to the new compact cars, our new SUVs are also extremely popular: With the GLC and the GLC Coupé, we actually set a new record for an October. This means that the GLC is well on its way to become the bestselling SUV in the Mercedes-Benz portfolio once again in 2019.”

Mercedes-Benz unit sales by region and market

A total of 81,017 Mercedes-Benz cars were delivered in the Europe region in October – a new October record (+1.3%). From January to October, unit sales in the region increased by 0.6%. This means that in the first ten months of the year, unit sales in Germany were significantly higher than in the prior-year period with a plus of 5.0%. In Poland, Sweden, Portugal, Denmark and Hungary, new records were set for unit sales in an October.

In the Asia-Pacific region, Mercedes-Benz posted best ever sales in October; deliveries increased by 10.9% to 80,312 units sold. A key driver once again was China, the region’s core market. With 57,142 Mercedes-Benz cars sold in October (+13.8%) and 583,032 from January to October (+5.8%), two new records were set for unit sales. In addition, in South Korea, more Mercedes-Benz cars were sold than ever before in an October.

Unit sales in the NAFTA region increased slightly in October compared with the prior-year month to the number of 33,264 cars (+1.5%). In the United States, the region’s core market, sales were also slightly higher than in October last year with a total of 27,867 units delivered (+1.2%). As in September, deliveries in Canada increased once again in October.

Mercedes-Benz unit sales by model

Sales of compact cars remained at record levels both in October and in the first ten months of the year: 546,100 units of the A- and B-Class, CLA Coupé, CLA Shooting Brake and GLA were delivered in the first ten months of this year (+9.8%), and deliveries in this segment increased last month by 3.3%. Within this category, worldwide sales were driven in particular by the A-Class Saloon. The sales of the new CLA Coupé also had a positive effect, among other things with two-digit growth in Europe.

Worldwide deliveries of the C-Class Saloon and Estate increased in October by 6.5% to 31,800 units, and deliveries of 335,100 units in the first ten months of the year were also higher than in the prior-year period (+1.3%). The long-wheelbase version of the C-Class Saloon posted new records both last month and from January to October. Overall, the C-Class has been the bestselling model from Mercedes-Benz for more than ten years.

A new record was achieved in the SUV segment for October: More than 69,500 units of GLA, GLC, GLC Coupé, GLS and G-Class were in line with a sales increase of 2.2% last month. In particular, the new GLC and GLC Coupé, the GLE and the G-Class have achieved double-digit growth. The new GLC and the GLC Coupé also reached a new record value for deliveries in October. In particular, the new GLC and GLC Coupé, the GLE and the G-Class have achieved double-digit growth. smart

From January to October, 96,245 vehicles of the smart brand were delivered worldwide (-10.5%). Unit sales in Germany, France and Austria in the first ten months of the year were once again significantly higher than in the prior-year period. With the current generation of smart’s two-door and four-door urban microcars, the development of unit sales was affected in October by lifecycle factors due to the upcoming model update that was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, in combination with very high unit sales in the prior-year period.

October 2019 has been a record month for BMW Group, with sales numbers climbing sharply to new levels. The increased demand for BMW luxury cars has risen 60% in the first ten months of 2019, with BMW brand sales experiencing a hike of up to 3.0%.

In October 2019, BMW succeded in delivering no less than 176,291 vehicles to customers worldwide. On a group level view, the German conglomerate continued the positive path, with global sales reaching 204,295 units sold, which marks an increase of +1.9% on a YoY basis (vs. October 2018).

The BMW Group remains the definitive leader of the premium segment. In the first ten months of 2019, the combined sales of BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce vehicles hit the mark of 2,070,496 cars delivered globally.

Pieter Nota, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for Customer, Brands and Sales, commented on the excellent sales results: “Our model offensive continues to have a positive impact. We were able to achieve new all-time sales highs for October and the first ten months of the year.”

Electrified vehicles are also enjoying success, as Nota further adds: “With our electrified vehicles, we achieved a solid increase of 8.6% in October. The BMW i3 is a real electromobility pioneer and more popular with our customers today than ever, posting sales growth of nearly 20% in the year to date.”

Sales of BMW have experienced a significant increase of 3.0% in October up to 176,291 deliveries, topping out 1,777,691 vehicles sold in 2019 to date. The increased demand for the upper luxury echelon, such as the new 8 Series, the 7 Series LCI and the X7, have contributed to the successful growth path. The brand’s SAVs enjoyed a particularly notable performance. Worldwide X5 deliveries increased by a record +67.5% (13,162 units sold in October), while the X3 year-on-year sales rocketed by +67.4% with 256,148 examples delivered to date.

The electrified BMW models have also contributed to the record results in October 2019. Last month, sales of plug-in-hybrid vehicles increased by 8.6% to 14,182 units. The main stars of the show were the newly launched 330e and X5 xDrive45e. As well, sales of the all-electric i3 have increased year-to-date by 19.9%, with the plug-in i8 also enjoying a positive trend.

With the advent of the new X3 xDrive30e, volumes sold are expected to increase even further. Moreso, BMW Group plans to hit the 1,000,000 mark of electrified vehicles on streets by 2021. As the new i4 and iX3 are coming around in the next two years, the target seems feasible enough for success. By the end of 2019, more than 500,000 electrified BMW Group vehicles will have been delivered worldwide.

On a year-to-date reference, sales of MINI cars totalled 288,613 units, decreasing by -2.3% compared to the same period of 2018. John Cooper Works models as well as the Countryman ALL4 S E plug-in hybrid have experienced a particularly increased demand from clients. The BMW Motorrad division posted positive sales figures, having sold 149,577 motorbikes in the first ten months of 2019 (+7.0%).

The most successful regions that contributed to the record October 2019 month were the Americas (up by 6.0%) and China (+8.8%). The increase in sales is attributed to the increasing demand for BMW X models and particularly to the successful launch of the X7, which helped US sales to rise by 9.4% in October 2019 yoy. In Germany, combined BMW and MINI sales were up by 2.5% up to 29,041 units sold. YTD figures indicate a total increase of +3.6% up to 269,389 vehicles delivered in the German market.

Finding a neutral territory to post this was hard - the depreciation on the G11/12 generation 7 Series is really perplexing to me.

At just 1-2 years old I’m seeing 7 Series of all variations losing 50-60% of it’s MSRP (original sticker). This is a lower residual rate than what has been quoted by second-hand reporting parties like Kelley Blue book. Is this because of the facelift or because of early issues with the N63 engine? Mileage plays a factor, but I don’t think it has that hard of an impact under 50k miles. The quality of the interior is also much improved versus it’s predecessors.

Same car below. Sooo much car for the money.

BMW X5 xDrive45e Shines In Sales Belgium In November
The new BMW X5 xDrive45e was the top-selling plug-in model in Belgium last month.

The new BMW X5 xDrive45e plug-in hybrid, with industryleading 24 kWh battery, attracts a lot of interest and in November 2019, it was the top-selling plug-in in Belgium.
The total number of new passenger plug-in registrations was 1,471 (up 34% year-over-year) at a strong 4.2% market share. Two-thirds of those sales were plug-in hybrids.

The new X5 noted 206 registrations - enough to jump to #17 for the year. We suppose that the X5 might soon be one of the top plug-in hybrids in other markets too, as up to 67-87 km (41.6-54 miles) of WLTP all-electric range is a really good option.
With 15,566 new plug-in registrations over 11 months of 2019, Belgium is on the rise. The market share of 3.0% is also pretty encouraging.

The detailed stats by the EV Sales Blog shows that the Tesla Model 3 remains the sole leader of the market (despite slower deliveries in November).
A quick look at the table reveals that besides high presence of PHEVs, there is a lot of premium/more expensive models in the top 20:

Spanish sales rise 2% in November

Porsche, Audi winners
Among automakers, Porsche and Audi had a good month, with registrations up 513 percent and 47 percent respectively. The brands lost sales in the same month last year because not all their models were ready to be certified under new WLTP tests.

Among other brands, BMW sales grew 20 percent, Ford sales increased 6.2 percent. Mercedes-Benz sales were down 1.4 percent.

The German market surprises me in rare things such as that among the Japanese Honda is the only one with ridiculous sales compared, Jaguar and Alfa almost do not exist, and Land Rover that I would expect that in that market would be highly appreciated is not
