One min the S-Class and Maybach is the same car, but now they’re not when sales need to be counted?

M

LOL. Why do you even bother Marcus?

What Mercedes achieved with the W222 Maybach, continuing with the 223, was a bit of a masterstroke. Rare when it comes to new products from this company lol. It's helping to keep the S comfortably ahead of the 7, despite the slight misstep the W223 seems to have been.

It's such a shame they haven't had the balls to develop any bespoke Maybach products since. As they are using AMG as a platform for trying to set the pace in terms of performance EV's, Maybach is also perfectly positioned to offer limited run Halo EV products using the same underlying technology. Mercedes arsenal of suspension, battery, driver assistance technology, to name butt a few, would make this relatively easy from a technical point of view.

Alternatively, they could just give us some ridiculously gorgeous limited run V12's!

Objectively insane.

Add the number up if you feel better that way, I was just posting these sales numbers without your moronic and dumb conspiracies.

Absolutely incredible what triggers you rabid MB fanboys.

Lol. Rabid fanboys? All I said to Merc1 is why does he bother arguing with the same stupidty over and over again. That's it.

And true to form you were there...like a rabid fanboy...with the same usual stupidty. 👌🏾

If you meant his stupidity, then yes agreed.

There was and is no argument. Just some numbers. Everybody can see them and add together whatever they feel like adding. I didn't make that chart.

I honestly don’t give a shit how a simpleton like you adds up anything. I haven’t posted anything about a conspiracy on this forum so you’ve got the wrong one. You’re actually the one that is triggered, because if you didn’t make up the chart why the fcck do you care?

Keep diving MB , keep diving...hahaha

Where are the MB warriors ???
In Europe the case is very clear, MB introduced the agency model without discounts, or with official discounts.

BMW postponed this, that’s why some BMWs are 20% cheaper than the MB models, therefore I am not surprised about the big success.

BMW Dealers are getting bigger margins If they sell more cars, that’s why they’re giving the customers an even bigger discount to sell even more cars.

Volvo does the same btw.

If you’re are a dealer with the agency model without discounts, the company ( in this case Mercedes Benz) tell you at which price you’re able to sell the car, there are no additional kickbacks If you sell more cars, which you could use to give the customers a bigger discount.

So what are you trying to say? That the agency model sucks?
This Tesla stuff sucks for everyone. Why are MB doing this? Another goddamn dumb decision by the master of dumb decisions.

Gemini:

The Backlash is Already Happening
The market is already pushing back. Because brands like BMW delayed the system and kept discounting, Mercedes has lost significant ground in fleet sales, which make up the vast majority of premium car sales in Europe. Corporate fleet managers don't care about "brand premiumness" or a "luxurious digital buying experience"—they care about the monthly lease rate.

If BMW can offer a car for hundreds of Euros less per month because a dealer re-invested their volume bonus into a discount, the fleet manager will choose the BMW every single time. It's why Volkswagen quietly halted their plans to expand the agency model to their internal combustion cars, and why BMW is likely looking at Mercedes' current sales struggles and rethinking just how aggressively they want to push their own 2027 rollout.

Exactly.(y)

You absolutely nailed it, and of course I fully agree with you.

Yeah this Agency model is absolutely wild. TBH this is the first time I've heard of it, so thanks for that.

It would only make sense if the Germans made a Cartel (they are very familiar with that), and all did it. If one doesn't, the whole system collapses into nothingness.

Mercedes seems to be making a turnaround in Europe with its BEV sales. The CLA maybe has had a major positive impact on its growth.

I'd love to see the breakdown for CLA EV vs ICE in the EU.

I bet the vast majority is EV, and that indeed is the driver of the BEV growth, because these other EQ models sure as hell aren't rising.

CLA EV, C class EV and GLC EV will put MB nicely in line with BMW in terms of BEV sales in the EU though. They all are in the exact right segment, so MB is finally making some sense here.

The agency model has turned into a complete sales mess for Mercedes-Benz Australia.

Frankly, it serves them right. They chose to roll it out at the same time as pushing inferior-quality products, particularly in interior finish, while simultaneously driving prices higher. On top of that, they’ve clearly lost touch with their customer base. Their model and engine mix here no longer aligns with market expectations, and they’ve stripped away the tailored purchase experience and genuine configurability expected by customers of a premium brand.

Cartel is an interesting wording.

Originally it was planned from Mercedes Benz, Audi and BMW at the same time, but Audi and BMW chickened out a few weeks away from the planned start.
