Volvo Cars achieves monthly sales record in March

March 2024 in Germany was not a good month for most car manufacturers

BMW is sniffing
at the top of the premium segment in absolute numbers: with 21,366 units, BMW is only a few hundred vehicles behind Mercedes-Benz. However, the Stuttgart company's KBA figures always include the Citan, Vito and Sprinter light commercial vehicles, which cannot really be considered premium vehicles.

There are no exact figures for March yet, but in January and February the trio in question accounted for just over 2,000 and just over 1,800 units respectively, so we can also assume a four-digit figure for March, which certainly places BMW in the lead.

BMW's good result also draws attention in light of the model change that is currently taking place in the BMW 5 Series Touring: the new G61 is not yet available, and the station wagon, which is liked not only among vehicle drivers for business and fleet customers, It will only be available in the second quarter to pay for new registrations.

It seems a recession is happening in Europe as the sales figures for many of the brands taken quite a knock.

Yesterday I was walking next to a dark blue 3 series and it is not difficult to realize because it is a brilliant success that does not stop growing.

What's more, compared to the C-Class it is evident, it is difficult for me to distinguish it from the old E-Class, I feel it is poorly conceptualized, it is neither one nor the other, in the middle, as if it were a D-Class
Not in vain is it 1,500 units below the 3 series in its FL

March 2024: The BMW 3 Series clearly leaves the X1 behind in the internal ranking

What is strong in those " - " numbers?

I see a great decline. In almost every way or shape you can look at it

BMW Group also recorded a significant year-on-year increase in sales of models in the high-end premium segment, in the first quarter (+21,6%). Most notably, the BMW 7 Series saw double-digit growth worldwide in the period from January to March, compared to the previous year.

Q1 Mercedes Cars (-8%)
Q1 BMW Cars (+2.5%)

*BMW BEV (+27%) totally against the market
*70.000 units of difference already from Q1 in favor of BMW cars vs Mercedes Benz cars

BMW is being cunning here. Since they didn't say an actual number, the increase must be 1x%.

I don't know what it will be, but if it were an 11% increase worldwide, would be okay with you?
You are the clever one, seeing things as they are doesn't hurt from time to time

You were the one who always was talking about the great "Top end" of Mercedes, what do you think of this -27% worldwide?
I know, you'll put a laughing emoji

When will heads start rolling?

First quarter
Mercedes suffers serious setbacks in its sales
MICHAEL GERSTER

Mercedes suffered a significant setback in its sales in the first quarter of the year. From January to March, 463,000 cars with the star were sold. This represents an eight percent decrease compared to the same period last year.
There was also a decline in purely electric vehicles. In one region the numbers were particularly weak.

Sales of purely electric vehicles, in this case the EQS SUV, fell significantly in the first quarter.

Wow MBUSA is losing it. Why are they adding vans to the totals now. Ridiculous.

Edit: "*Starting with our Q1 2024 sales release, MBUSA reports sales figures in a manner congruent with Mercedes-Benz Group financial reports. Prior to Q1 2024, sales figures were reported at the retail level, and now reflect group sales (including wholesale). This change is designed to reinforce reporting consistency between our two entities."

Total BS IMO. A cover for pitiful sales numbers.
