Hot! All kind of sales Audi / BMW / Mercedes

Latest news, trending discussions, reviews, and major updates
A and B Class are no longer important models. Current models will be discontinued at the end of their life.
They have just reversed themselves by discontinuing the A from now on, and leaving it until 2025, which does not mean that they do not want to sell it
They can't afford to lose another 250,000+ - sales

but Mercedes was able to make more money.
Cheapener the design
Cheapener everything they can actually do, and it shows

trucks and buses are listed in a separate company.
Which? Shouldn't everything be under Mercedes Group? which is where that 19Bn comes from
I read today that Mercedes is one thing and Mercedes Benz is another, I didn't know that

In 2022, Daimler AG was split into Mercedes Group and Daimler Truck. The two companies operate separately. It's interesting that you don't know this.

Thanks to sales of top models. This is the segment where BMW is helpless. S class, Maybach, G class. This is where Mercedes makes money. BMW needs to sell a lot of cheap cars to reach the same level. BMW also makes its new models cheaper. For example, the G70 and G60 are adorned with cost-cutting solutions compared to their predecessors.

That's in your imagination, not that Mercedes is doing very well there, better than anyone else, but BMW is eating its tail little by little, we don't even know how many 7 series were sold and how many will be sold in 2024, its first Whole year.

The X7, part of its up-market, is always tied with the GLS up there, with both very successful.
The G is a case study always in the clouds....
The XM has just entered and will be gaining space, the 8 series calmly sells its 15 to 20,000 a year (30/35,000 at the beginning)

But I agree that it does not have a complete line of Maybach type trim, which I believe they are solving with ALPINA, in the same way that Merc does not have Rolls Royce and its millions, the tie comes from several places, remember that they sell 60,000 M's more than AMG's , all profit factories

8 series and XM have no future. The 7 series will never be as successful as the S class. I don't think the G70 will sell more than 60 thousand units annually.

The 8 series is alive and well, its future is EV, the XM was just born and I guarantee it is here to stay

About this 7 series, if I could I would bet you the opposite, pessimistically it will take the S-Class more market share than ever before and optimistically I think it will surpass it either in this year, or the next two years (or the difference will be anecdotal)
Btw, 60.000 it's not a bad number, It is a number that the G11 I don't know if it ever reached.

The sales volume of the 8 series and XM is low and will remain so. The 8 may survive as a 4-door in the future. XM's future is not bright with its current style. BEV fashion is now on a downward trend for expensive cars. People are moving away from expensive electric cars. Except for the 7 series, BMW does not have a solid foundation in the top segment. Also, M cars sales numbers are a mess. I think the best-selling model in 2022 was the i4 M50. M40i models are also selling well. We do not know how much of a role these models play in the difference with Mercedes. This is also a factor in monetary gain. For example, G63 is the most preferred G class version. Thoroughbred AMG models such as AMG GT and AMG SL are also an advantage of Mercedes.

You were expecting drama in the sales numbers of the C and S class in 2023,
*I don't expect anything, I just see and analyze what happens,. Ola himself indicated that 2024 will hopefully be flat again, without variation, while the others will continue to grow, which for Mercedes is the same as losing share or worse, wait to see the sales of this first quarter

GLC and E class will make you very sad this year. Be prepared.😜 @dalab
I remember at the end of 2022 you said that the difference had narrowed from 400,000 to 60,000 between both brands and that 2023 Mercedes blah blah blah explode in sales, well from 60,000 they went to 228,000 differnce (not counting Mini), it seems that your predictions are quite weak.

You're right, I've put up with too much of your bullshit today. I won't write any more.
That message makes me remember that I shouldn't have wasted time with you, you don't know how to exchange ideas, you are rude by choice, not by provocation.

@dalab watching you wax lyrical about the 7 series sales is hilarious. Its brand new and the S is mid cycle with no doubt a substantial facelift coming. This generation of 7 isn't changing anything. It's probably alienated as many buyers as it's gained.

Now on s subjective note...I saw one barrelling down the freeway in my direction the other day. I couldn't help but think, how revolting. It's so frigging high that even though it's wide, it looks skinny with an absurdly blunt pig snout.

Right, and it's just pathetic. I have never seen someone so desperate to find an issue that isn't there to put another brand over. Pages and pages of ridiculous "analysis" that a child could do better. It's diarrhea in even the Mercedes threads now.

Which Car Brands Make the Best Vehicles?

By the way , remember when Toyota was considered a "tank" in terms of reliability 15 years ago?

It was the top brand in most reports.

Because the most "outrageous" option they had was heated seats and rain sensor.

Guess what happened when they added tech to their cars?

Issues started...Who would have guessed...

Despite some aging models, Audi made a big jump in sales in 2023. They alot closer to BMW and Mercedes than in previous years.

A6 is doing particularly well. Perhaps the pricing and design of the new E and 5er play a part in this?

I don't think so, they were just hatching when these Audi sales were cooked.
Perhaps the shortage due to the change of both models at the same time helped the A6

Most probably their own pricing in terms of old model discounts. Who knows though, I find it baffling with such a lineup.
Baffling for most of the line-up, yes. The A6 however I still consider as a strong offer, despite it's age.

The shortage could be a reason as well.

Might be and it’s Audi’s best car imo. Just the right size and it doesn’t scream FWD in its design like A8 and A4 do with their proportions.
