Now, I haven't lived long enough to remember, but I think, to make a better example, the B5 S4 was discrete and the E34 was certainly more subtle than other 5ers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I meant all this time. I love cars that look simple but beneath are special.

Now, if we are talking a MINI Cooper or Fiesta, I like them more with wings, stripes and girls riding bombs painted on the sides. Red calipers and what not.

I would take both actually.

German car fans are so used to the formal sportswear.

The Alfa breaks that formality with a funky sort of masculine distressed look, perfect for busting out on a Friday night through the weekend. It looks like pure fun without trying to fit in. This car should perform well to. I cannot wait to see what the mag tests come up with.

I would also take both but since I can't vote for both or none, I had to go with the BMW, but that Alfa V6 sounds awesome on the videos.

Small off topic: what ever happened to LaArtist? Why's he banned?

Hey, today I sat on an M3 at the dealership and noticed two things right away:

1. The seats are very stiff, not uncomfortable at all, but very stiff. More than the AMGs I've been in. Reminded me of an STI.

2. The interior quality is not bad, but feels a little, uhm, normal? I opened the glovebox and there were rattles and things like that. WTF?

And also this:

3. The sound system is inferior to my Volvo's. What the hell? This car is worth 20 times more and it's 11 years newer.
The eq seemed to be very bad set though, and I wasn't feeling like tuning it just so some idiot comes and ups the bass all the way again.
Pretty cool that it has an EQ

Also, the people at BMW are very nice? I arrived in my bicycle looking like a bum, long hair and ripped/patched jeans, yet they asked me right away how could they help. They didn't keep the M3 locked also.
That didn't happened at the Ducati dealership I went the other day.
