Jesus... so many plane accidents in the last year or so, I doubt I will travel by a plane any time soon.
So sorry for the innocent victims.
Actually, I can see fully why you think this, but last 12-24 months has been lower than normal in terms of number of fatalities and hull losses in aircraft accidents.
What is maybe different is that there has been several "unusual" accidents, such as MH370, MH17, and now this.
The rate at which aviation is growing across the world means that even if we maintain the current safety record, there will be a net increase in accidents of around 10% every year. In the not too distant future, even if we maintain current safety rates, an air crash every week will be expected.
