Another award for Audi, and this is a big one! The Automobile Club of Germany declared Audi as the best automotive brand in terms of reliability, customer satisfaction, market strength, product strength, car quality, advertising spendings and car registrations.

Second place went to VW, followed by Mercedes. BMW only scored 4th, followed by Porsche.
Great news from Germany here! Congrats to Ingolstadt.

Good to see VWAG at the top ;)

Congrats to Audi the High just keeps on rising :D

Audi is an awesome brand, I love the clean contemporary designs. Think almost every major automaker (bar BMW, interior design accepted) should take a page or two out of their book for the sake of designing clean, instant classics. For myself though, I don't need the AWD performance, and an Audi will never drive like a BMW. IMO of course.:D

Audi

General German Automobile Association's AutoMarxX December 2006

For the first time AUDI reached the top position in the General German Automobile Association AutomarxX survey. In the most extensive evaluation of the automotive brands available in the German market the automaker from Ingolstädt overtook a serial front runner Mercedes. BMW, in June 2005 still #1, dropped back behind VOLKSWAGEN to rank four, followed by Porsche. Best import brand is Toyota ahead of Mazda and Honda.

The General German Automobile Association's AutomarxX appears half-yearly and compares the 33 most important automotive brands in Germany. The result of the investigation consists of numerous individual values such as mark image, market strength, customer satisfaction and product quality.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
