A3 und A4 2.0 TFSI quattro can be tuned up 300 hp and the 0-100 km/h sprint take 5,9 Seconds with top speed 260 km/h.

Prices in Germany:
240 PS (Chip tuning): 1.276 Euro
240 PS (Chip tuning + transmission): 3.422 Euro
270 PS (Turbocharger + Chip tuning): 5.220 Euro
300 PS (Turbocharger , Chip tuning, exhaust) : 9.860 Euro

Details here

I'd get the upgrade without the visual mods.

But then again, if so much power can be extracted, I'm sure it's in the expense of turbo lag right?

Normally there is no turbo lag in the TFSI engine cause the Turbocharger starts to work from less than 2000 rpm.
To reach the 300 hp output Abt has to change the turbo to a new one so i don't know what will happen then.

Because its wrong wheel drive. (FWD):D

FWD or not, it's still slow. A Neon SRT-4 is FWD and does sixty in 5.4 secs, not sure about hte HP rating though?

I dunno, because my dad has a 2.0T FSI, and there is ZERO lag. It's just POWER!

Yeah, VAG probably did their research to build in a suitable turbo that would provide the best performance & the least lag possible in one combination. Rather I'm asking whether ABT did their homework on this one - 300bhp seems far too much power for a FWD car, IMO.

That all depends how it is mananged, take for instance the Mini cooper. To balance out the power distribution and eliminate torque steer, engineers equipped the car w/ equal length drive shafts. 200hp seems to be the general limit for a FWD car before torque steer becomes an issue, however when balanced engineering is put into practice, those negative effects can be eliminated.

I think 300bhp is far too much for a RWD!

220bhp is the limit for FWD IMO, if you have any more the car will act very badly!

Also this conversion sounds quite expensive!

BTW can this upgrade happen to any VAG car with this engine? If this is true, then the Audi A4 with this upgrade would be good, if it had quattro!

American figures are always alot faster than that of europeans for the same car, and 0-60 is not the same as 100km/h. 100km/h is 62mp/h which would require another gear change.

300HP is overkill in FWD though.

Woah. Imagine this kit in a Skoda Octavia vRs (which, according to EVO, has the same 2.0TFSI engine) - ultimate sleeper.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
