5th Gear: M3 Convertible and C63 AMG

Ronnie is a lovely guy, talks like he's a real Londoner, saw him last month. Great opportunity for him to test two performance cars back to back on a track. Not many people get that chance before they buy a car.

Lucky one indeed,C63 definitely for me,it's seldom when i'm ever gonna hit the track so hammering power for me with performance package not like the one he tested:D

^ Im starting to think all these 'performance packages' can be a bit overhyped. Not that their totally useless tho. But having seen all the comparos now i think the M3 will defo beat the C63 on any track even if you give the Merc the 'viagra and rubber' package. Having said that, im with Tarek n i'll buy the C63.

Yeah, there's no need to contest the fact any more. The M3 is the more poised track performer even if the C63 has it's fair share of treats.

^ Lol,well i agree to a degree man but the PP does makes a difference but nothing can beat the extra weight of steel. But surely the C63 suits much better than the streets,u need a race track to fully appreciate and enjoy the M3 as all reviews said before while the C63 is just one flick away from mild to wild...it easily owns the streets:D

This isnt exaclty a M3 Coupe they are driving here so my choice among these three are the C63, I guess I have to live with the harsh ride.

Who is the guy? Funny Vickie thinks he is quicker in the M3 convertible than C63. I would have expected otherwise.

Why would you want the performance package if you are not going to the track? It is just going to make the already harsh ride even worse.

Well i want that vicious DTM wheels, steering wheel and limited to 300km instead of 250km:D.Plus this is gonna be a weekend car i'll drive anything for daily driving:usa7uh:

Maybe it's just me over analyzing, but I'd have to say that they were bouncing around much more in the C63 than in the M3. It does seem to have a very harsh ride.

And if that's the case, it wouldn't be good for every day driving obviously. But then again it's got that monster torque to play with.

Having said that I'd pick the M3 every time. It's not like it lacks the torque and if you ask me I 100 percent prefer the sound the M3 makes. That segment where he was going all out in the straightaway... can't beat that imo.
