2027 Volvo EX60

Added to Calendar: 01-21-26

Personally I prefer the calm EX60 interior over the busy GLC interior. I haven’t seen “night” photos of the EX60 interior yet, but I guess it has the wonderful “light through wood panels”. MB, BMW & co are still messing around with busy stripes in all types of neon colours, even my kids are tired of this.
Mercedes interiors are bling king and great for those who love ambient lighting andlas vegas vibes in the evening.

Volvo are showing that luxury doesn't have to be gloss black, alumium or wood. Usually car door cards very basic and cheap if they lack these materials. However, Volvo are doing something clever. They are using different contours of plastic and fabric to multi layer shadows that add depth and visual texture.

Super clever

Wild. I can understand the “van” vibes for EX60, cause it really resembles one, but iX3 looks nothing like that. I guess it all comes to preferences. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Roof rails would improve the proportions of the EX60. However, they seem to be deliberately designing the EX60 to be sophisticated and less upright than the EX90 and EX30.

Although I don't particularly like the Volvo cabin, it looks more original and well-designed than companies that try to differentiate themselves by putting in baklava screens.

Volvo interiors were always great, but for me these new EX models are getting a bit too simplistic. What EX90 had was the sweet spot, blending both luxury and simplicity. I even loved the EX30, but what they did with the EX60 is a little strange looking, at least that’s how I feel about it.
As for the exterior, I like it, but still not even close to the ICE model.
Current Volvo SUV lineup (the ICE models) are one of the best looking models in their respected segments imo.

How trollish is that? You find the worst picture on the internet to try and force your argument down someone's throat.

I agree, especially the EX30 feels very cheap apart from the door handles.

The EX90 is fine, but worse than a XC90.

The current ICE XC60 and XC90 aged very well, and their interiors are really well put together.

I’d always prefer a XC60 to a EX60 and a XC90 to a EX90.

I wonder if they were too far in the design process to update that? Maybe they have a solution for the Chinese market ?

Or do those door handles actually comply with new regs in China ? It would seem that Volvo/Geely could have been on top of this prior to the EX60's offficial presentation. Also, they are not so dissimilar to those recently sighted on the large BMW and Audi SUV prototypes.

Not that I know. I'm just musing here.

There are plenty of great exterior and wheel options. Now that I’m spending some time in the configurator I’m starting to like the exterior design much more. Super Scandinavian. Can’t say the same for the interior though, yuck.

3 European competitors. Really interesting to see how they compare to each other design-wise.
Judging by these photos, EX60 looks the cleanest, but maybe a bit soulless. iX3 is totally fine.
On the other hand, that damn GLC looks really confused. I will have to see it in real life before making a decision. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Contemplating a fast forward of some 5-6 years...

Which of these vehicles will look "the most fresh" ? Which will appear "the most dated" ?
