But as to the engine numbers, from the PR code data for the type FU, GU, and FN as currently in the catalog. Each vehicle has a PR code for the base engine (GMO), and then for the engine configuration (MOT). So always subject to correction, but what's there is:
TH9 = EA839 evo 3.0 base engine, 06M.B
TI0 = EA839 evo 2.9 base engine, 06M.D
The B9 V6 base engines were:
T9I = EA839 3.0 base engine, 06M.C
TV8 = EA839 2.9 base engine, 06M.A
For the MOT codes involving the EA839 evo base engines, we have five that are listed:
D5A = TH9 base engine, 270kW, DWVA -- listed for FU (S5), GU (SQ5), and FN (A6)
D8T = TH9 base engine, 270kW, hybrid, 360kW combined -- listed for FN (so I assume this is the S6)
M9P = TI0 base engine, 375kW, DYAA -- this only shows up, currently, under the type GU
M0S = TI0 base engine, 375kW, hybrid, 470kW combined -- listed for the FU (so I assume this is the RS5)
M10 = TI0 base engine, 375kW, hybrid, 550kW combined -- listed for the FN (so I assume this is the RS6)
8-speed automatic, so I assume ZF returns, with the version with the e-motor for PHEV purposes. But rear diff likely "Hybrid rear differential with electronic torque vectoring". I wonder if that means it's just the Magna PerforMax (RS3, Golf R), "clone" of the GKN Twinster, similar concept to later Acura SH-AWD implementation.
What's interesting is the RS6 appears to get a similar layout, but with two e-motors? I wonder if it gets a rear diff with integrated e-motor as well as the e-motor in the trans input. Pushes the RS6 to 550kW combined. Using 295 tires.
