So the launch of the RS5 must be days away. Looking forward to seeing this new model.

Massive breaks because the PHEV will near 5,000lbs, if not over.

A5 Avant 270kw PHEV is already 4,800 lbs so I fear my initial estimates of the RS 5 Avant PHEV weighing 4,850 lbs are nowhere close. I'm gonna estimate ~ 4,980-5080lbs.

The track width and stance seen on the RS6 etron Sportback prototype is impressive. It corrects the "chubby" A6 etron visual.

The Audi RS models are always exciting as I love how different and aggressive they look compared to the standard models. Huge wheels and flared arches combined with some massive exhaust pipes lift them up to a different level.

I agree. As long as Audi Sport does not go overboard on the designs. Voluptuous wheelarch sheetmetal in tandem with large diameter rims (21" or 22") is great, as is a significantly widened track width. But when they start adding theatrical vents and tacked-on rubbish, the visual experience is diminished. As with so many things...less can be one hell of alot more.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
