I guess then we're ok with all non-Chinese vehicle manufacturers just dying out. Or restricting their sales to an ever decreasing volume of ultra rich.
Does this AMG GT EV comes with air suspension or a PAR equivalent from Porsche?
But as @Mick Briesgau said, they’re not very exciting at all, even with 3000hp.
No offence taken. If it amuses you, that’s fine.No offence to either party, but I do have to laugh a little when it's two guys with a preference for luxo-barges saying this.
We agree on this one as well.No offence taken. If it amuses you, that’s fine.
This is what I call exciting …
BMW at Villa d’Este.![]()
All that money should’ve went on developing a closed-deck M256, a 48v V12, A new gen S-Coupe/S-Cabrio & A V8 C63Perfect summary.
It’s incredible what a waste of human and financial resources the development of this car was.
EVs produce that power till a certain percentile though. If range and weight weren’t an issue, I’d actually choose the AMG EV or Taycan over their ICE counterparts for a road trip or mountain drive.
Yes, V8s add drama because of the sound, but that excitement only lasts for a short while. Beyond the noise, the EVs are better in many other areas.
& guess what? Not enough customers will care about this GT 4 door EV either, They already wanna burn it !We've been through this whole argument about dozen times already.
Not enough people buy V12 mercedes' for them to bother making a brand new one, when the current one does fine in the markets that still care.
Marketing was a Problem, and there’s currently no SL V12 or G V12.We've been through this whole argument about dozen times already.
Not enough people buy V12 mercedes' for them to bother making a brand new one, when the current one does fine in the markets that still care.
They used to make a G65. It was a literal unicorn. Hardly anyone bought it.I guess a V12 G would sell surprisingly well.
A V8 can be modded to do 50% more power & be at peak hp till last drop of gas along with being lighter in weight
People buy G63 4x4 Squared, Brabus Gwagons & 6x6 Gwagons…in QUANTITY.They used to make a G65. It was a literal unicorn. Hardly anyone bought it.
He's telling you that it already existed and nobody bought it.You telling me they wouldn’t buy a Gwagon with a new EU7 48v V12? Mercedes wouldn’t make them quick enough![]()
Because the old G sold and drove bad compared to the 2019 onwards. He's telling you that it already existed and nobody bought it.
Let's be real.... Most supercars this days are pretty tameA friend had one in testing . And he told me that he never experienced a car with such a great value .
And this , by the quality of materials , and attention to details .
And the drivetrain is also good . UI . Comfort.
But the main factor is the price why is such a great car is the price.
Yea , there are going to be lots of stupid attention seeking people that will push this to it's limit just to get some content out of it .
But....It's such a good looking and great value car....
This car is probably the reason why, all 3 AMG EVs won’t sell very well.
They’re DOA because of their price compared to the Xiaomi.
I agree, regarding your thoughts about EVs.
However for most who aren’t driving long distances and who can charge at home, EVs are very practical grocery getters.
Especially small cars can be build very nimble and agile, compared to the usual 3 or 4 banger the EV drivetrain is extremely smooth.
But as @Mick Briesgau said, they’re not very exciting at all, even with 3000hp.
Regarding the infrastructure, I agree but there’s another problem, I guess they underestimated the costs of the servicing of the fast chargers, If they reduce the servicing, the reliability drops significantly.
There’s another thing, you only get the perfect charging speed If you precondition the battery and you start charging as empty as possible.
& also this new V12 G-wagon with 48v would be paired with E-ABC, it’ll be smooth as ever.Because the old G sold and drove bad compared to the 2019 onwards.
