Do you really believe that? A country devastated by years of war that will have to undertake a very long reconstruction to become even remotely "normal" again, and besides, it wasn't even close to being a powerhouse before the war.

In fact, whether I believe that is hardly relevant. Apparently, there are a number of German business enterprises that "believe it". Have a look at the 4 year Rheinmetall AG chart. Also companies such as the construction material firm Knauf and the drone-tech company Quantum Systems are investing heavily. In general, cooperation between German and Ukrainian enterprises could flourish to a degree currently unthinkable for many. IMHO, Germany can learn a great deal from Ukraine.

Perhaps the conversation could be continued elsewhere.

Surprisingly, the AMG GT (4 door) is still selling in some numbers despite being on a dinosaur chassis. Likely due to buyers knowing what's coming next. I never liked the design much, but it's a great performance car for the price (GT43 aside).

It's a race to the bottom at the fastest rate once this comes out - Taycan Turbo S' are turning into Model S Plaids on the second-hand market.

All I can say is that the SUV version better come out soon thereafter. I’m guessing they will have a lot of variants like the current car to make the price a little more reasonable. They just need to reveal it, sell a few, curb production and take that ass whipping in the market, like a man.

To give them a break, they were committed to this before the shit hit the fan in the EV market. And it seems like they have gone to all lengths to try to make it feel and sound like a V8.

I hope it's not a total failure, from a brand image point of view.

With regards to resale values, maybe the Jaguar leasing model is the 'solution' for high end EV's?

During C19 nobody wanted sunroofs because of that.

Development started in 2020 AFAIK, the problem of these cars is that the development took too long.

I stand by my point they’re DOA, as is the new C Class EQ.
