GT 4-Door Coupé (X290) 2026 AMG GT 4-Door Vision EV

The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé (X290) is the first generation five-door variant of the AMG GT two-door sports car. Production: September 2018– Model years: 2019–
The passenger side dash design was the best part in the whole XX concept interior, finally something unique and new from Mercedes, something that felt like AMG and not just another Benz, but of course - why bother? Lets just put a huge, useless and incredibly poorly integrated screen there…

Trends that need to die: black wheels, fixed glass roofs, and passenger screens. The passenger side treatment in the concept would have been fire.

Does anyone know what buyers think about passenger screens? Are they something people actually want?

I'm liking this interior far more than that of the Vision GT XX. I suspect that AMG, with some assistance from Manufaktur, will be keen on presenting a wide variety of material and color combinations. So far...so good.

Now...what will the deal be with the exterior ? The rear passsenger compartment interior images indicate a relatively clean sideglass graphic with a smooth metal C-pilar unobstructed by a small glass triangle. That would be nice following a series of more recent M-B's with visual flow disturbing sideglass partitioning.

I absolutely love the door treatment with the seat switch by itself.

Get rid of the passenger screen like others have said, but the problem with the screens in general here, are the those thick bezels. If the bezels were not there and the screens were cut down to be sleeker, this would make it look a lot better. I can't wait to see the Manufaktur options for this car. The SUV with this interior is going to be wild. It's not too late for them to offer a passenger screen delete and replace it with wood or CF. A running change if possible.

Additional pictures and details.

It looks there’ll be a Carbon roof and the screen is indeed optional.

they've lacked subtlety in that area for years.
They have. In this car, there are lots of generous and well considered physical materials. However all of it is drowned out by the backlighting and screens.

The cabin reminds me of 2000s mini hifi systems with lots of gloss, BIG BASS stickers and LEDs.
