The passenger side dash design was the best part in the whole XX concept interior, finally something unique and new from Mercedes, something that felt like AMG and not just another Benz, but of course - why bother? Lets just put a huge, useless and incredibly poorly integrated screen there…

For a flagship electric AMG that is supposed to represent the future of performance, this is a missed opportunity. Instead of creating a truly distinctive cockpit, they seem to have fallen back on the same template we’ve already seen in countless other Mercedes interiors.

Mercedes and BMW fans must have been quite scared. It was a bit painful to learn that the car they were so eagerly awaiting turned out to be the i3. 😅

I love everything except those screens
The interior would have looked close to perfect if Mercedes did these 2 changes:
1) Install a new steering wheel, the current wheel has been used on all Mercedes AMG models for the last 5 years and is starting to look dated.
2) Delete the passenger display and use some more of the nice CF trim and Microfiber on the dash.

Otherwise I love that center console and the door speakers, handles and diamond stitched leather looks fantastic.

What does that supposed to mean? And what does i3 have to do with this car? I don’t get it.

I was thinking the same thing. The i3 has nothing to do with this car, unless it is the iM3 then I would say maybe a tiny bit but its in a class much lower.

I think they achieved a good harmony in that interior, combining luxurious sportiness (more on the sporty side), the design itself is another matter with its industrial touch

My feelings exactly stated. That said I do like this. I’m pretty anxious to see any new elements in a Mercedes interior at this point.
