It looks much better inside and out, but that screen is a little much. I don't see how this competes with the GLC, X3 etc. It's just warmed over Rav4 and it's gutless to drive, still. This is more a GLB, X1, Q3 competitor.

Size wise I believe it does compete with GLA X1 Q3, not sure why previous gen was compared with higher, same issue with RX being pared against X5s instead of X3

I would love to see an actual performance version of this. Real hp and suspension tuning and focus. It’s the right size for it. As it stands now tho I’d take the Genesis GV70 over this so easily.

A point of contention that will likely be raised by would-be performance buyers is that the NX's platform is FWD-based. One can argue there are instances where that's overlooked, such as the A-Class where the A45 and GLB35 are generally lauded for what they are despite its FWD basis.

rear quarter panels look very muscular, like RWD crossover. no cuv has such wide rear wheel archs. maybe BMW XM will.

Lexus is poised to break all their previous sales records with this thing. It looks great and has been vastly improved, moreso than what Lexus normally does for most of it's cars. New infotainment and more powertrain options. It may briefly take the RX's place as Lexus' best seller until the new RX arrives. You have to move up to the 450h model to get any real excitement though. Lexus has a real shot at being #1 in sales in the USA again next year.
