IS/RC 2020 Lexus IS

You are responsible for your postings. If you get out of line and start throwing insults and attacks all over the place it's your fault and nobody else's. I'd expect this to be common knowledge and common sense.

Yeah you can, I've done it. It won't sound like that but anything plastic will creak if pressed hard enough especially around air vents. I wouldn't care if an ES300h was built of granite, it's a pensioner dullard car. What's the end game here? Mercedes interior isn't what it used to be? We all know this already. I have a W140 S500, so I know what Mercedes' old school build quality is like. Now if you have something that proves that lesser plastics compromises the engineering of the car underneath I'd love to see it, if not you're wasting time with this nonsense with me.

you cant
Different manufacturers using different materials, you could know that

In my garage is an V220, V221mopf, V222, C215, C219
I also had a W140 and W124

but none of this cars were as shitty made, as the new Mercs

i dont care what u think actually, drive your lex and think that Mercs are the best. I’m s big Merc fan, i told you we’re driving S-Classes since the 70’s, but i’m also not blind to not see the disaster in their new models

Yeah, @klier was being pretty childish trying to slag off your whole country to get a reaction, but you took the bait and opted for threats of personal violence. Neither approach is cool, yours was much less so.

I have, sorry if you can't accept it. If you don't care then stop posting to me. Again if you can show me an engineering compromise I'm ready to see it?

Go to an Lexus, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi store and explore

bye

Don't need to. Mitsu is junk in 2021. Old tired junk. Honda and Mazda are nice, but they aren't a Mercedes. Lexus is even nicer, reliable to a fault. Don't drive as well, and are out dated. Good.

No one is arguing that Lexus isn't reliable, but they're dullard, outdated cars in most cases.

lexus is reliable you agree. lexus is outdated, i agree (but don't agree with the need and benefit of "up to date"), but saying lexus is reliable because it has old tech is so wrong. Land Cruiser 80 had very advanced tech for the time, put every car to shame, and still was reliable since day one.

Give some examples other than chassis and engine that Lexus needs to make the IS up-to-date compared to German proposals.

It was more along the lines of generalizing nations like was done; German, Japanese, etc. I threw in Slovenia because I remember him being from there. Childish maybe, but that's what I am.

I think you should all calm down, especially you @Sonder, what with threatening to find Klier and punch him 20 times and everything... that's just not cool, man.

Ah boy, I missed the fun :(
He didn't even threaten me via PM this time.

In 2021 Lexus is reliable because of old tech. Period. A land cruiser 80 has absolutely nothing to do with anything today. Every engine Lexus sells in the US outside of the LS500’s turbo V6 is old as dirt and they’re all naturally aspirated. The engines and chassis is what I’m talking about. Their infotainment is old as dirt also and is a pain to use.

Not a fan of any Lexus exterior even less so of this late 90s interior.
However...
First "sleeper" premium V8 sedan since the E60 550i.
Engine sounds marvelous and it's priced right.
It's either this or the Nio ET5 if I had to choose a car in this segment.
3er, A4 and C-Class have been soulless machines for at least a couple of generations now and yet there's no real innovation with them.
I'm happy to see cars like this Lexus still on the showroom floors.

Bravo!

I find this to be a very very good looking sedan ..one of the best of not the best!
Yes. I agree. It’s a shame they didn’t update the interior in the same manner. Also a shame the IS is discontinued in Europe. I’m hoping it will return in the next generation as a full EV as has been hinted lately

It’s amazing how an outdated car comes back into focus once the competition has moved on.

Especially if they have the chips to build them. Older platform=less chips=more availability. No cars available from Merc and BMW=more interest in the Lexus, regardless that it is on an older platform.

Lol just clicked this bum ass thread cause it’s a slow day.. just to find out klier was threatened to be punched 20 times hahaha brilliant, gcf the gift that keeps giving !
