2016 Acura ILX teaser

Will feature a new engine
The Acura ILX has failed to live up to its Civic duty, so Acura has announced plans to introduce a "substantially new" model at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The company was coy on specifics but confirmed the 2016 ILX will receive a "comprehensive update that includes a potent new powertrain, more forceful, sporty exterior styling, and substantially upgraded interior design." Acura also said we can expect "high-value comfort, convenience and safety features."

That's a little vague but American Honda executive vice president John Mendel has previously called the car's entry-level 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine - that develops 150 bhp (112 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque - "underpowered." This likely means the "potent new powertrain" will be substantially more powerful than its predecessor.

The 2016 Acura ILX will be unveiled on November 20th, so stay tuned for full details.

This isn't an American car.

M

Of course not. :banghead:

The bad thing is I know Acura is a Japanese brand. I don't know why I posted it here. Maybe I combine Acura exclusively with the American market. Sorry for the irritation. :(
