2015 Buick Envision teased for China

Will slot between the Encore and Enclave
Buick has released the first teaser image of the 2015 Envision, ahead of its debut in China later this year.

Previewed by the Envision concept, the production model has a familiar front fascia with a large waterfall grille that is flanked by LED-infused headlights.

The model will slot between the Encore andEnclave and it promises to "set a new benchmark in terms of space, safety, performance and specifications."

The company declined to go into specifics but they confirmed the crossover will use a "new-generation powertrain" with start/stop technology. Buick also hinted a new all-wheel-drive technology but declined to elaborate.

Being a GM vehicle I'm sure it will set a new benchmark in terms of recalls.

It looks like any other Lexus/Infiniti/Acura concept vehicle. Clearly Detroit is having difficulty coming up with original designs. I mean, the dropping line??? Straight from Mercedes.

But I'm sure this will sell well with all the nuevo-rich families who think that they have a true "luxury" automobile while knowing nothing about cars.

2015 Buick Envision interior pictures released

Debuts later this month
Buick has released the first interior pictures of the2015 Envision, ahead of its debut at the Chengdu Motor Show on August 28th.

Looking undeniably elegant, the cabin comes nicely equipped with wood trim, piano black accents and chrome details. The model also has burgundy leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel and a MyLink infotainment system with an eight-inch display.

Elsewhere, there's a panoramic sunroof, ice-blue ambient lighting and a split center armrest with"ample" storage space and a USB port. The model also boasts a Bose audio system and Active Noise Cancellation technology.

As we have previously reported, the Buick Envision will go on sale in China later this year and feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 256 bhp (191 kW) and 353 Nm (260 lb-ft) of torque. It will be connected to a six-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. The crossover will also have a FlexRide system with four different driving modes: Normal, Tour, Sport and Off-Road.
